I wasn't able to mow over the weekend, but got out yesterday and got it done. Was mostly dry, only 1 spot was still a little wet, but man was the grass loooong, it gave the mower a workout.
Guys, I did something bad. I went to CA for a week for work and enjoyed it. Well the work part was ok, that pays the bills, the traffic in the city was terrible at almost any hour of the day, but man, once I got out into the beautiful wooded areas and out on the coast it was gorgeous. I dove...
Terpstras is on Glenn Park in Griffith, can't think of anything on Ridge. Burke's on 30 was ok when I went in for some smaller items, Heinold & Feller was good when I had a husqvarna and needed service. Now I go to Gruel on Main in CP if I need anything, although I've swapped to EGO for the...
Back this morning from a quick trip to Cleveland. Not sure why my sales reps insist on scheduling meetings in Ohio rather than literally ANYWHERE else in the US.
That was a long 12 days. Back home now with suitcases to unpack and clothes to wash. At least work has been pretty quiet lately so not a mass sh!t ton to catch up on.
And just found out my uncle bought 20 acres down in lowellabama (unincorporated). He's the one that I hunt with so I'm sure I can run the dog there with some gunshots.
Funny because I thought the one in Michigan City was raved about when it opened and the CP one was supposedly based of that. Wonder what changed, or if I just never heard about the true complaints of the MC hospital...?
Yea I know JP and Willow Slough have areas you can run dogs. Was hoping someone knew a nice county area or friendly field that they could point me in the direction of, that's not 45min away.
Anyone know of a good place semi-close to CP to run a dog and do some gun training? Just want to get out with a dummy and starter pistol to work the dog a bit.
Left? I don't know if there ever were any good ones in CP, at least not in the last 14ish years that I've lived here. Its disappointing really cause I love me a good Chinese meal from time to time.
When I worked at Zel's in high school they were machine ice cream, but the flavor was mixed in...
Fun fact, the Aldi brand Tagalongs are better than the girl scout version, are available year round, and are only like $2.
Thanks, it was my dad's that I got last summer. Its a 1994 CB1000, 1000cc engine. Probably a little big for a first bike, but I take caution when riding.
Crown Point had a couple flashes of lightning around 8pm and not much after that. A bit of wind and some white stuff this morning.
Got the tree lights down after I picked up the kids and still had time for a nice 70* cruise for a bit last night before dinner.
I had the roof/gutter lights down in Jan, just didn't get to the bushes and trees. Between work/work travel, weather, and kids activities it just wasn't high on the priority list. Got all the bushes against the house down, but then ended up down a rabbit hole of trimming hedges and didn't get...
Going to try to take down the remainder of the Christmas lights today while its nice out. Have the nets on the bushes, and a couple trees wrapped, shouldn't take too long. Pack that stuff away and maybe get out the motorcycle for a quick ride as well if time permits.
