Brought home from Indiana Gun Club Federal large pistol primers and 2400 powder. Very good prices. Left some for the rest of you.
No small pistol or Bullseye.
Two DW Mod 15-2 revolvers in 38 spl/357 mag. Both are Monson Mass manufacture. Some minor wear on blueing. Shoot very accurate. Four inch is heavy vent barrel. Six inch is regular vent barrel.
Both prefer Federal primer ammo. Harder primer like CCI will show light strike failure to fire...
Looking for blue S&W revolver in 44 with four inch barrel. Pre internal lock. Used but not abused, does not need to be safe queen. Thanks for any leads. Jeff
Got up this morning, dressed, put my regular stuff in pants pocket and headed for the airport. I got TSA Pre Check so did not have to empty the pockets until I beeped the metal detector. You're right, my regular stuff includes a pocket knife. No muss no fuss, $20 later TSA is mailing it back...
Friend of mine shared his recent ND. Fortunately he had pistol pointed in a safe direction and ended up only with a bullet in the woodwork in corner of basement. Racked slide, dropped the mag, bang. Knows he knows better and won't do that again. Not chastising my friend, just a reminder to...
Brand new American Rimfire Compact 22LR. First impression very good 22. Bolt a little stiff but smoothing out. I am not a trigger expert, but very crisp and repeatable. Easy to shoot well. First 10 shots were scattered, suspect barrel break in. The next 100 were very good groups at 25 and...
I just ordered Ruger American Compact 22LR rifle for grandson's birthday later this month. I wonder if he will mind if I break it in for him prior to his birthday. Woohoo
First time shooter today at MCF&G. After safety briefing, we hit the firing line with Browning Buckmark pistol. Grandson first shot, dead center. We blame the scatter on the rest as red dot mount loosened. Silly grandfather did not bring tools.
Finished with hot dog and root beer at Mug n...
I am considering buying an old SxS shotgun, 1920's era. And I really know very little about what's what and is it safe to shoot regardless of what the seller says.
Is there a north side Indy gunsmith who could quickly tell me the gun functions as it should and should be safe to shoot. Quickly...
Spotted the 180g flat point lead bullet at MO Bullet in 358 diameter. Anyone load this? Thinking of something under 13 grain 2400 powder as a upper limit. Based this on the 180g fitting deeper in case than my 158g lswc by 10%. So reduce 158g load by 10%
Yesterday I found two and bought one 8 lb jug of Alliant 2400 powder at LGS. Would like to sell 1 to 5 pounds at $23.50 per pound. That is exactly what I paid.
FTF north or west side Indy. Bring you own container.
I currently have the Lee 357 Powder through expander die and use with the Lee Auto Disk. I would like to use with 38 Spl. Can I get just the 38 spl expander plug and use that in the 357 die body? Or do I have to get a whole new Powder thru expander die just for 38 spl?
Thanks
At 1pm, Cabela's Noblesville had Federal SPP for $26. I only took two boxes and left several for the rest of you. They also had other small and large pistol and rifle in several brands. I was after Federal so did not focus on the other prices but you can check their website.
Can anyone recommend an Indy area gun smith for work on Dan Wesson older revolver Mod 15? I have disassembled, cleaned, changed springs and still have random light strikes in double action and random trigger stuck and not returning.
I have 1 lb H110 purchased at Profire this month. This is a good 357 or 44 magnum powder. Found it will bind up and not meter in my old 55 powder measure. Will trade for 2400. Asking $30.

I took friend for his first trip to MCF&G this morning and had great time punching paper and the 50 yd steel with our 22 pistols. It was Buckmark against Ruger. Then for laughs we thought we would try the 100 yd. Surprised ourselves and both were hitting it about 75%.
