      Budget long gun (sniper rifle)

      I am looking to purchase a budget rifle to put together a so called "sniper rifle" to engaged targets 100 yard and farther. I was thinking of the 308 cartrage, possibly a Remington 700 series. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

      Any recommendations on AR-15 rails......

      I plan on swapping out my Magpul rail for a 12-15" rail. I've been looking on various website for ideas and the styles and prices are all over the board. I've been looking at the Troy Alpha rail, Bravo, or MRF. Any other suggestions. I'd like to keep the price at $200 or less if possible.
