      Ready to become a reloader-LONG

I have a 550 now and used to have a SQD. Personally I like the 550 better because it does not auto index. I don't get in a big hurry when I load and I like the control manual indexing gives me. I can run one round at a time or I can use it as a single stage. Nothing wrong with the SQD and...

686 or M19? Which one to keep?

I like both of the guns but if I had to keep one I would keep the 19. Granted the 686 is a stouter and will hold up to hotter rounds but most people will never shoot a 19 loose or cause forcing cone issues. Also the 19's are getting harder to find and may be harder to replace if you decide you...

Help with 9mm reduced loads for young shooter

I would look at a 147 grain bullet loaded with a fast powder. I shoot a lot of 147gr plated bullets loaded with 3.3 grains of titegroup. Don't know about power factor since I don't shoot idpa but it is a very soft recoiling load.

Warm Christmas Eve - Good Bike Weather

I also got my bike out today. Rode about 45 miles to check out a couple of gun shops but unfortunately they were both closed. Oh well, still enjoyed the ride and maybe I can hit the shops again over the weekend while it is raining.

been thinking I need a new CZ75 PCR. Do I?

I would like to find a pcr as well but I would use it as a carry gun. I think if I was just looking for a home and fun gun I would go for the full size 75. I don't know where you are located but Dave's in Holland does have a compact in stock.

Dillon 550b or Hornady LnL Progressive?

I also have the 550 and have no complaints with it other than the primer slide sticking occasionally. I use mostly Lee dies with it and they work fine.

      Straw Purchse Questions/Discussion

My question is how does a young man 18-20 years old legally obtain a handgun other than it being a gift?

      Just for fun revolver?

You should have no problem finding a very nice revolver for less than $800. I am partial to Smith and Wesson but Ruger makes a fine revolver as well. I also think that 357 magnum gives you many options as well from light 38 rounds to full blown magnums. I would suggest handling several...

Happy Birthday J Frame Smith and Wesson...65 Years old today....

Thank you, I picked it up a year or two ago. Have not shot it much but I do like it. Seems like I get the K and L frames out more. I have vacation coming up so maybe I will get it out then.

      K frame Wheelguns

You may want to check out alien gear holsters. I have a couple of them for other gun models and have had good luck with them. I have considered buying one for the k frame but I generally don't carry anything bigger than a j frame iwb.

Getting out of .40 reloading and into 9mm

124gr coated bayou bullet with 4.1 grains of win 231 and 124gr extreme plated bullet with 4.1 grains of titegroup have worked well for me as my main plinking loads. I think both are around 1.135 for col.

      Any INGO electricians out there?

Turn off all of your breakers and then try to turn the main on. If it turns on you can turn the rest of the breakers on one at a time until you find the problem. But I would be surprised if a single circuit is tripping the main without some smoke somewhere.

      Dusting off my reloading bench

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding bullets and primers now but the exact powder you are looking for can be spotty. This is just my observation from local shops I deal with. I buy bullets online but pick up primers and powder locally.

      Plated Bulletts

I have also used xtreme and Berry's with no complaints but I may need to try blue bullets.

      Reccomend a 22LR revolver.

I have the smith 617 and a Taurus 94. Both are fun guns to plink with. The smith has a much better double action trigger but there is not much difference in single action. The Taurus is much lighter and easier to pack. I'm not to far from you and you would be welcome to try them out if you would...

Evansville Gun Show March 28-30 at the Armory

I did not see any powder, but there were some primers for $40 a thousand. I picked up a s&w model 36 with a 3 inch barrel. Probably paid too much but I wanted it.

      IMR 4198

One other thing I might add is to research load data in a couple different places and work up. I believe the Hornady manual list max loads close to where Lyman starts there loadings. I am loading 19.5 grains with a 55 grain bullet. Most of what I have read about 4198 for 223 suggest better...

      IMR 4198

I use it for my mini and for a 700. I was looking for varget but couldn't find any So I picked up the 4198. No complaints at all with it and the loads are generally less grains so you get more rounds per pound.

Aliengear Warranty can't be beat !!!!!

I have not used their warranty but I did exchange shells for a different gun and it took about 8-9 days for the turn around. So far I am pleased with my alien gear holsters and service. The only problem I have had is the screws that hold the kydex shell on coming loose. I put a little thread...
