I'm not sure if this is in the right place... Just saw an article at Bearing Arms. The Lake County, IN county council is trying to pass an
ordinance to restrict shooting on your own property. It will expand the area needed for shooting, or require permission from your neighbors for a lesser...
Today I was in 2 Targets, 1 in Indy on Kesseler Ave. , the other at Northcrest in FtWayne, carrying concealed. Both times, in and out, the "You didn't pay for that" beeped as I went thru the door. A couple of people looked my way but no contact from anyone. There are no "no gun" decals on the...
I saw on a South Bend tv news report: The tribe is it's own nation and makes it's own laws. So NO guns on their property. Not trespassing, a FELONY (according to the news...).
Hope that helps. Maybe google for the story... ?

As I have gotten into my 60's, my eyes are making life interesting. In preparing for an Appleseed, i found out that a scope was NOT optional. They are usually dry in the morning and require drops, and take several minutes to adjust to the light.
So the other night I woke up for some reason, and...
Just remembered... about mid Jan. a 30ish clean cut guy in jeans, flannel w/Glock 9 something on a owc kydex something, afternoon in Sturgis Advance Auto.
This is my 2nd season shooting IDPA, last shoot this Saturday. I've been tracking my scores, trying to figure out if I can get info from the numbers that can show me where/what/how I can improve.

One of my friends did that "get the registration from the glove box before the officer gets there" thing and it earned him an officer on each side of the car with a gun aimed at his face. Seems not to be the best procedure...
So... is this now the REAL plastic gun? Sorry, I don't know how to link to this. Can search... ?

I found Chris Bird's The Concealed Handgun Manual to be a similar read. It does a pretty thorough job from beginning to end, and he gives several good examples of people being involved in shootings and the the whole involved process after. I have the 5th edition, '08, so fairly current.
The poll left out an option--mine is under the night stand, with magnates. No noise opening a drawer, and not as obvious to a burglar. Also, another under the computer desk.
Didn't mean for this to get into a debate...
I started with a search and when I checked about sound level I was getting different answers, so I went to this forum. I wanted info from those that I could trust more than some sourceless article on the net. And I got that-- Again, thanks...
