First of all... Kudos to the OP! This is an awesome analysis.
Just mentally, using my ever-poorer memory, I've been trying to do the same kind of thing with high-cap mag's. I can't help but marvel at what some are going for on GB.
--I agree with this too. The idea of these people...
You're a wise man. Say "guns in general" aren't outlawed in the next month or so... All these people buying everything they can find labelled "gun" with their credit cards are going to wish they didn't have them once that first bill comes in.
Wow this is crazy...
The dumb thing is that it seems some of these retailers are making these rash changes w/o thinking about the future implications it might have on their business. Yeah it's "nice" to fit in with the puplic wishes, but say we make it through to January just to find out that...
--You do realize that you can "legally buy weapons" (assuming it's in-state) and the only people that know are the "seller" (assuming that's not a store) and the "buyer"...?

The uppers/calibers carry a descent amount of differences, but when posing the same question to a large/reputable dealer (of both) about the lower... Depending on the S/N of the lower, both are manufactured in the same facility.
It WASN'T a firearm, but...
I've had this experience before. I purchased something (in "good faith") from a pawn shop (~ $800 purchase price / $1800 "new value"), and afterwards took it to a retailer for valuation. Crazy coincidence, the retailer happened to be "renting" the same item...
That's an awesome article--it doesn't take much of an argument to state that there are diabolical forces in effect with all of these lies and deception.
