My older brother and I used to do this at the dump near Crown Point in the 60s. We had a great time, and provided a public service. One night, a cop rolled up, asked what we were up to, and just told us to be careful. Ah the good old days.....:fogey:
I find the whole bunch of them to be pretty much unwatchable. These are nothing but "drama queen" shows; notice how little time is spent on actual gun data, compared to how much time is wasted on Will having a hissy fit because his daughter is supposedly having "happy time" with an employee...
There's no hype.......1911s just plain ROCK. I purchased my first one back in the summer, and the more I shoot it, the more I love it. Might even trade off my G19 to finance another 1911.:ingo::D:D:D:D
Yeah, this thread has had a LONG life. I first posted on this one probably 3 years ago when it took over 60 days for my LTCH to arrive. Seeing how fast they do it now says they're getting caught up, and/or have really streamlined the process.
Just got my first 1911 a couple months back. A nice new S/A Loaded with night sights. Love it, and I'm already looking at another one. At first it had some feeding issues, but customer service at S/A was on it quicker than a seagull on a french fry. Sent the gun back, and it was back in...
I've had a 19 for about 3 years, I think it's a Gen 3. I have about 8K rounds through it, and it hasn't farted a single time. This thing is super reliable. Enjoy.
I've had a G19 for about 3 years now, and I loved the stock sight picture, except for them being that cheesy plastic stuff. I wish I could get those sights with tritium inserts. I put some tritium Meprolights on it right after I got the gun, and the front sight has loosened up and fallen off...
You're not alone. I bought a nice new Springfield Loaded 3 weeks ago...it got sent back to them because the rounds won't feed all the way into the chamber, and the pin that the barrel link pivots on worked its way out enough so that it was rubbing against the inside of the slide, and I...
I just got a brand new Spingfield 1911 Loaded, and I'm having issues with the next round not going all the way into the chamber. I was using S&B 230 FMJ. I tried about 10 rounds each of Speer Gold Dot JHP and Magtech 165 gr HP in +P. The HP stuff ran fine, the FMJ not so much.:dunno:
Aw jeez....I went and did it. Bought my first 1911. A new SA Loaded with night sights in matte black. Then I put some nice black VZ 320 grips on it with turbo screws...it looks slicker than snot on a doorknob. I've put about 400 rounds thru it, and it seems to have an occaisional feed issue with...
Anybody in NWI own a G30SF or 36 I can test drive? I want to to get a .45 and don't want to lay out 1K for a 1911 yet. I shoot at Deb's and Blythe's in Valpo if anyone can do it. Thanks!
A cop pulls a woman over for speeding. He runs her plate, license #, etc. and walks back up to her car to give her the ticket. She complains about it and says "You guys NEVER give tickets to the HOT looking women!" The cop replies "Thats true maam, sign here please!"
