I am thinking of adding one to my collection. So I went out and shot an M&P 9, Glock 17, Steyr and an XD.
I liked the trigger and feel of the M&P. Thought the Glock's trigger was a little heavy and the feel was OK. I liked the front sight on the Steyr but other than that thought it was an OK...
Anyone have any experience with their holsters? I have seen reviews on their belts but not on their holsters.
I am thinking about getting a leather holster for my SAR and saw that the sold them. Plus it would be great to be able to get something from an Indiana company.
I was in the Mishawaka Dunham's today and saw that they are now selling handguns as well as long guns.
Anybody see that at their local Dunham's. I will still buy from a LGS but just found it interesting that Dunham's is selling handguns.
Thinking of adding a wheelgun to my meager collection of a 9mm & a .22LR rifle.
Other than Rossi or the EAA Windacator what other .357s are out there around $350 to $400. At least a 4 inch barrel not into the snubbies. Don't care if it is blued or stainless.
Today started out well...went over to Staples to make copies of my LTCH and have them laminted. Seemed like it LTCH day there because there was another person there doing the same thing.
Then I went to Midwest Gun Exchange to look for a holster for my SAR. Let's just say that was a mistake I...
Applied for my LTCH used the expediated option of paying the State fee and fingerprinting fee online.
Did the L-1 fingerprinting on April 18th.
Got the approval from the Local LEO and paid him on April 19th.
Let's see how long it takes to get my LTCH.
Stopped by Kodiak this afternoon to see the remodel of the store. I think it looks better than the old layout. More room to move around and brighter than the old layout. Prices are still about the same as they were before they took a hiatus to remodel.
Yes, I did buy something while I was...
I discovered recently that I am anticipating the recoil which is causing all kinds of accuracy issues.
Looking for any help with some dry fire drills to help with this.
Thanks
I live in a small town with its own police department. Here is the question I have after I do my L-1 fingering printing do I take it to my local police department or do I have to take it to the County Sheriff?
I know this probably has been asked before and I am being lazy and not using the...
I am thinking of taking a course there and would like to know if anyone has any experience there.
More specifically how does it compare to Midwest Gun Exchange in Mishawaka. I know that both places are owned by the same people.
The few time I have been in Midwest Gun Exchange I have not been...
Just picked up my first handgun.
Now I'm starting to think I don't have enough magazines, I need to get an LTCH, I'm thinking I could use a holster or two.
I'm also checking out training schedules to see what training I want to take and how much it cost and how close is it to me.
Since I shoot mostly .22lr which is now either impossible to find or when you do find it is priced extremely high. I think it is time to step up to a 9mm for a range gun. I have a budget of around $350 and found two in the price range I am interested in.
One is a SAR 9mm clone of the CZ75 I...
What are you opinions of purchasing a gun from a pawn shop vs an LGS?
Are the sales people at the LGS more knowledge than at the pawn shop or is just a matter of who is working that day?
Last week to let her try shooting. Rented a Ruger 22/45 and let her shoot a few magazines.
Her conclusion was that she didn't really care for it. Which is fine with me. She has things that I am not in to also. Plus it saves money when I go to the range only having to pay the lane & ammo...
We were driving home from church today, which just happened to be on the west side of South Bend, and she says to me after hearing about the home invasion and attempted murder not far from the church that it might not be a bad a idea to get small handgun. I kind of nixed the idea of small...
Kodiak is running a haunted shoothouse through Halloween. I went through last night and it was great.
$20.00 to go through this includes the gun and ammo (30 rounds) either 9 mm or .40. You can bring you own gun and still go through for $20.00
Went to the range on Saturday. I'm switching out magazines and get hit in the arm by a stray piece of lead fragment from another lane. Then I'm switching the magazines again and get hit in the back of the arm with more stray lead fragments for another lane.
The first one hit where I had...
