      The Next One - 30 06

Wow you sure opened the flood gates.I have a Rem 700BDL in 30-06 and love it. t is very accurate to as far as my old eyes can see. Ammo is available and decently priced. I also have a 1903A3 that will knock a gnat out of a tree and is heavy enough to not hurt when you fire it. Just my 2 cents...

Guns with a hammer block, what do you think?

I have a Sig 226 and a Colt .45 Double Eagle. They have decockers and both work perfectly. I think these are much safer than a manual safety

      Cabela's At Hamilton Town Center

After the way these guys screwed Greenwood. No way that I would walk across the street to spend my money there. May be more money on the North side, more sportsmen and shooters on the South side. This is great news for G M and the Dicks in Greenwood Park Mall.

WTS/WTT: Colt Model 1861 rifled musket

For Sale a very nice Colt model 1861 rifled musket. during the civil war the Springfield Armory could not keep up with the demands of the Union Army. Thus the army issued additional contracts to other manfacturers. Colt received on of these contracts. In the 90's Colt began to manufacture new...

      Any suggestions for pocket pistols?

Try a Sig P230 232 if you can find a good one. They are small carry well are single or double action so it is save to carry it with a round in the tube and fire .380 which is a good round up close.

Colt help, which one to buy?

Colt 1911 pistols were the standard issue pistol for the US military for over 70 years. Many a young man went into combat with them and relied on their ability to fire and stop the bad guy cold in his tracks. They all had some play in the slide. It is by design to keep the weapon from jamming in...

Liked so much I bought two! Sig Fan Thread

I also love my Sigs: P226 in 9mm, a P226 in .40, a P230 in .380 and a P232 in .380. All are great pistols and fun to shoot. I have never had a FTF from any of them. No Glocks in my safe and I'm OK with that

.380 or 9mm for pocket carry?

I carry my Sig 232. It is small flat and fits in a pocket or IWB. I feel that the double action is safer for my purposes

      Astonishing Vietnam War photos

The call sign for the AC47 was Spooky, the AC 130 was Super Spooky. They could really light up the sky. My unit was USAF Forward Air Controllers and we called many missions for both of these types of air craft along with many others. interesting factoid: There were no US outposts overrun when a...
