It was leaking air in behind the carb. Having had her only since last fall, I also failed to do my due diligence... (filters, oil changes) The air filter was filthy. My bad for thinking it was all good based on how pretty, and low miles it had. Good place to go to for older carbureted bikes. The HD dealer (Hunter's Moon) says Harley doesn't even teach carbs anymore to new technicians... they wouldn't work on it. (1996 FLSTN)
