George Soros funded St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner resigned today. The Missouri Attorney General had begun civil proceedings, similar to an impeachment trial, to have her removed from office for Willful Dereliction of Duty. A Circuit Attorney in Missouri is an elected office, the equivalent of a County Attorney in other states, or a State's Attorney in Illinois. She was a major reason St. Louis had become one of the top five most violent crime ridden and most dangerous cities in the country. Good riddance. I'd normally snark, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!", but with Kim Gardner I'd be lying. Her resignation may make the Missouri Attorney General's "quo warranto" civil action for removal from office moot, but she still has an Indirect Contempt trial pending before a Saint Louis judge directly related to her dereliction, with her prosecutors failing to show for scheduled trials. Resignation letter can be read here.

I’ve been keeping one eye out for this to put in the thread. I started on her, but I didn’t really think she would resign. I figured she’d ride it into the great smoking hole in the ground, And then picked up by the Biden administration.

And OP, you scooped me, you fiend!

My inner OCD bureaucrat requires me to go post this in my own thread to tidily close it out.

My eyes are too tired to read that now, so just tell me......who did she blame it on?
    'Bout who'd ya expect...

Gardner might have valid claims that she was the victim of a racist, sexist political witch hunt by Jefferson City Republicans, but she laid the groundwork for her own downfall. She might have generated sympathy and patience had she acknowledged her own substantial shortcomings along with a pledge to do better. Instead, Gardner threw everyone possible under the bus, then set fire to the bus, then tried to blame the bus company for the fire. Everyone else was at fault — but not Kim Gardner.

Editorial: Gardner's downfall was her own doing, try as she so often did to blame others

If she was elected to do a job and willfully refused to do that job, would there be any further actions against her?
Election fraud, corruption or maybe even some type of conspiracy charges?
Allowing her to skate away and just toss out a resignation letter doesn't seem like justice for the people she's harmed.
And that wouldn't be sending any message to others of her same ilk.

    .
George's people with that big checkbook are probably already negotiating with the machine in St. Louis. I think as long as the money holds out he's going to be buying offices.

So what’s next for her….next Mayor of Chicago? She fit right in.
Its interesting that Soros funded Kim Fox announced that she will not be running for re election in Cook County Ill. She would have been reelected as many times as she chose to run. I predict these foot soldiers will be repositioned for greater control and replaced with carbon copies.
