I don't have any kids, but I've been teaching my nephew gun safety and he is 6. The things he remembers at the age of six is crazy!
I wasn't allowed to handle a gun in my house until I was 13. Those were just the rules.
I didn't get anything last year or the year before. Had plenty of opportunities but wanted the wife to get something. Last year she shot a huge 8 point and I think I was more excited than she was. We butcher our own, so that was enough for me to process.

So we were at a friends house yesterday, who happened to have a 350 legend. Dad grabbed it up and shot it a few times and said "Man I need this for deer hunting." I think he has changed his mind now lol. He liked the fact that it had almost no recoil. It was funny because he was still flinching...
