Super late coming back to this but I agree, its an excellent firearm. I ran one for a full training cycle and deployment. 10.5" barrel and AAC suppressor, incredible combo since it has an integrated switchblock. I'm sure a dedicated 5.56 is better than what I had. We had a bunch of conversion...
I bought one back in 08/09 during that ammo “shortage” which is a joke compared to this one. I always liked it for inexpensive range days that don’t break the bank. Sometimes if I needed to rezero I would use this first to get on paper, then swap it out. (50m)

Many moons ago I broke my back on a jump. I made a decent recovery but after a few years of the grind my has deteriorated to the point that I just couldn't hang anymore. Additionally, there are another ten or so injuries that are really starting to come back to haunt me. Shoulder, neck, knees...
+1 For PSA. I've got around 1k rounds through mine with no issues. If you're worried about durability then they're usually inexpensive enough that you can buy two. Recently they were selling uppers that came with Sig Romeos or Vortex Sparqs included
