      2020 Legislative Session Thread

I am sorry, I thought the ask was for citations for the Capitol Carry. Here are a couple. I am trying to locate an article that I recently read on the subject. I know there was a recent case where a guy in a bar, I think the bouncer, was holding a shooter at gun point and the police sot the...

Any talk of Indiana 2A Sanctuary counties or cities yet?

OK, so let's look at sanctuary cities in the form of immigration laws. Cities and States have declared themselves to be exempt from Federal Laws that they feel violate the rights of certain people within their locations. By making this declaration they have decided to defy the Federal Laws and...

Any talk of Indiana 2A Sanctuary counties or cities yet?

True, but in this case we are talking about a County stating that it will not recognize a State Law. This is what is happening in VA for example.

I agree. There are numerous states (Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Nebraska, Missouri and Wyoming) that allow either concealed or open carry in State Capitols. We should push for the same. Why should the legislative staff be treated differently? On a side note: If a person is going to Conceal...

      Preemption Violation?

Sent a letter to both the Town Attorney, Town Manager and the Town Marshal and none have replied. The Entire Town Council was also copied on the email. There is no "Ordinance" regarding this sign or the restriction, just the sign in a municipal building. My main concern is that if there is no...

      Preemption Violation?

Hey guys, So I just noticed this sign at our local public safety building. No Court, houses the Police and Fire station as well as ambulance. This is a public entrance to the community room used for Town Council meetings, training, other community activities. I asked the Town Marshal about...

Any talk of Indiana 2A Sanctuary counties or cities yet?

OK, so I have been reading and watching the development of 2A Sanctuary Cities. Here is the only problem as I see it. Please help me understand how this could not be used against us? We have pre-emption in Indiana. Many states have similar preemption laws. Part of the benefit of the...

HB 1144 - Constitutional Carry in Indiana

Non fiscal bills have lowest priority so they are likely to have no action taken on them since they are not high enough on the priority list. Of course that can change is enough people contact their respective legislators. If it becomes a priority for their constituents it will be important...

      Carry in Ohio law?

I think it becomes effective on March 23. It has already been signed by the governor. Just remember that Ohio is a MANDATORY must notify a police officer that you have a firearm if you are being contacted, such as a traffic stop.

      911 response stats?

Contact the police department and request a printout of response times. Often they have this information readily available. If not you might be able to try a Public Records Request.
