I love my Stihl chainsaws. One of mine went through a flood. Was under water for almost a week. I cleaned the airbox, cleaned the carb, put fresh gas in it and it started right up. Love them!
Does anyone hunt the Deer Creek Fish and Wildlife Area near the Putnamville Correctional Facility? I was thinking about bow hunting there this season but have never hunted public land before and would love to talk to someone who is familiar with that land and see how it was there.
I just picked up a Glock 43 and love it! I'm a bigger guy and I have a paddle holster. It holds great against me and doesn't imprint much and doesn't feel like it pulls down much at all. I put a 2 round extension on the mag and upgraded the trigger so far.
Hoping to take a trophy buck this year, just like every year, but need some guidance. Do you take your deer to the butcher and have them cape it and then take it to the taxidermist or the other way around? The last time I had a buck mounted, my first buck, I took it to the butcher and they...
I keep hearing people talk about a cougar around Owen County but haven't ever seen one. I'm in the woods a ton during turkey and deer seasons but would love to see one! Just not up close or in the dark walking to my stand. :D
Go with the AR! I have the first gen M&P 15 and LOVE it! I have done some work to it but nothing crazy and it's the funnest thing to shoot! 22's are awesome too and a lot cheaper than the AR but just as fun.
I was going back and forth between building an AR or a Bold Action rifle and was ready to pull the trigger on a Mossberg Patriot 308 but decided to build an AR instead. I have heard great things about these as they are inexpensive and shoot great. And you can get them in packages with scopes...
I removed mine about 6 months ago when I was building up my Ruger 10/22 and don't remember having any issues. The rifle was only about 5 years old so I don't know if they have changed anything since then. I do remember that once the screw came out I had to expand the band to remove it.
Just got back home from my morning hunt. Saw a small buck chasing a doe and another doe running through but didn't get any shots off. Saw a couple of scrapes too. Sounded like WW3 out there.
Drove out to where I hunt (private land) this morning and going down the gravel road next to the field I see a turkey but with the fog I was right next to it before I even realized what it was. As I passed it and realize what it is and then quickly realize that someone is probably tucked up...
