What are your preferred sights on a defensive pistol?

What are my preferred sights on a defensive pistol? Pretty much anything that's NOT a stock Glock sight - those things are terrible and Glock should be ashamed to still be selling pistols equipped with them after more than 20 years. I know they *work* but that doesn't mean they're not terrible...

yeah i bet it was my old gun. mine had wear on the front edge of the slide and on the left rear like where it would rub against a shirt, and it had night sights - though i think they were kinda dim, but they still worked... had a gen 2 frame and yes, it shot pretty well. i got a 40 cal...

Hi! I saw a post you listed about a year ago, with a pic of a Glock 32 and was wondering if you still have that gun? i had one that looked very much like it, with wear marks near the rear of the slide that i sold to Blythe's here in Valpo a couple of years ago and was wondering if you'd bought...

      9mm

9000S - mint condition. I actually sort of like the way it feels in the hand, despite the fact that many people have complained about it. Ruger P89 - my range/steel plate "beater" gun. Soft-shooting and accurate as all get-out. Stoeger Cougar 8000 - I HATED this gun at first and wanted to...

      Glock Disappointment?

I've found Glocks in general to be as accurate as any other pistol I've ever shot. Have a Glock 27 (one of my favorite carry guns) that is plenty accurate, but tends to pinch my finger between the frame and magazine when I shoot. My Glock 23 shoots fine (though my M&P shoots a little softer)...

Brought home my new EDC today!

Congrats! I have both Glocks and an M&P40. I find the M&P to be both easier and more comfortable to shoot than my Glock 23, but I still carry the 23 every day because it's slightly smaller and lighter and more comfortable to carry than the M&P. Of course, if I manage to find a good holster...

      Best deep concealment handgun?

One of the little NAA mini-revolvers can just disappear when dropped into a pocket, but it's difficult to deploy, much less actually hit anything with, so you might be in the odd position of having a gun without being effectively armed. Ankle holsters - when used with loose-fitting pants can...

      NAA Mini-Revolver

I've owned a few of these little revolvers over the years. The workmanship and quality are excellent, but I've never been able to get much accuracy out of them, and have therefore always sold them shortly after buying one. I've done it twice already. I bought another a few months ago, took it...

      external safety hatred syndrome

I personally wouldnt say that I hate external safeties, per se... but feel that they're unnecessary on anything except single action semi-automatics. Good gun safety skills, trigger finger discipline, being mindful of how you handle your firearm and yourself can go a long way toward preventing...

What pistol do you regret selling the most?

Every. Single. One. And I've (unfortunately) sold my fair share of guns. I had a Walther PPK. Hit a tight spot and sold it to a friend on the agreement that he'd hold on to it for me until things got better and I could by it back from him. A few months later, when I had things squared out...

      New Purchase advice

I had a few years experience carrying a Walther P99 as a duty gun, and mine never failed me. I do really like Berettas, but never really warmed up to the PX4 series, so I'd have to vote for the Walther.

      What handgun do you carry?

Most often either a Glock 27 or a 23. Sometimes both:
