      Thanks guys this is what I was looking for. It may be a few weeks before I get to test this load but I will post a report when it is done. I am glass bedding the stock next week. Sorry Sloughfoot didn't mean to make you feel used just lookin for opinions on varget and the 223.:D

      the rifle is 223 varmint remington 700. It does well with 40gr and 52gr bullets. I have been using TAC powder with good results just like to try something different. I know some people like varget for the 308 guess I will give it a try.

      Anyone use varget for reloading 223 remington? I have some I can try with 40gr and 52gr sierra bullets I also have some 55gr hornady's. I looking for something to shoot in 100 yard benchrest.The rifle is a 1 in 12 twist remington 700. Thanks for any advice.

      SPS would be my choice, but I would check the rate of twist for each gun first.
