I don't anticipate the new rule will survive long after it's published in the Federal Register. The Bump Stock Rule is already headed for the Unconstitutional Rubbish Heap. Chevron deference only goes so far, and the current SCOTUS composition is reducing how much deference it receives. Last June was a warning sign to other agencies about rule-making that's Executive Department lawmaking, trampling on Congress. Just as the Bump Stock Rule fails the NFA and 1968 GCA, so also will this Pistol Brace Rule. Its ambiguity alone will sink it. Other SCOTUS cases have cited the need for CFR to be comprehensible by those who must allegedly abide by them - and Federal Trial Rules require deference to a defendant whenever there's ambiguity or multiple interpretations to the law (in this case the CFR) -- aka the "Rule of Lenity". This is going to be unenforceable and ultimately declared unconstitutional.

Sure, this should and likely will get struck down by the courts. but that isn’t enough. For an agency that has said something is legal for decades to suddenly change their opinion after millions of Americans have purchased them, investing millions of dollars in braces is outrageous. The agency should be abolished and the people Involved in this change, severely chastised.

Maybe the DOT can lower speed limits on the interstate today and start writing speeding tickets to everybody that drove the speed limit on yesterdays interstate. I'm not even sure what the point of the rule is.... braces make guns extra deadly, ergo we must ban braces? We just want our dollars? We hate the American people and will attempt to manipulate and control them at all times? Pistol = ok. Pistol with a brace = pay the man or go to jail.

I would walk up and down the strip offering 100 bucks to prostitutes to walk into their booth and lick the rims of the coffee cups in the atf’s booth…cause what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

Except herpes…that $h!7 comes back with you!
ahhhh...herpes...the gift that keeps on giving.

That's OK. I can't even stand watching that guy anymore. What a shill.

I agree pretty much. The gent isn't normally on my watch list.

That said, he does have a following and is in our circle of interest. The video came up as a youtube suggestion.

Like some other youtubers, gotta sift out pertinent info from horse :poop:.

PSA now shows only non-braced AK-V 0 pistols in stock, some AR pistols with braces but only of other manufacturers.

Their statement on the action: https://palmettostatearmory.com/pistol-brace-rule.html

Well, they are about to get 2 more kits back. I ordered 2 10.5" kits early last week, then this dropped. I got my return number from them this morning. I will try it again with this **** blows over.

The ATF chasing people down and showing up at their homes is not the most likely threat, in my mind. An agent showing up at a range, noticing the braced pistol, then asking to see the paperwork seems FAR more likely to me. A PCC competition would be a great place for them to start - and to send a message. This is what I'm concerned about, and what I need to consider in my case.
You are exactly right. Ranges will be the best pond to catch the fish.

I'm convinced that they do this crap in an effort to deliberately bait somebody into acting out. "Look at these crazy gun nuts assaulting our helpless public servants! Aren't they violent? Don't they need to be put in their place?"
I never understood these presences either. Because everybody I've heard that interacted with them and asked questions, they either didnt know the answers or wouldnt give a specific answer because it was above their pay grade.

Talk about a waste of tax dollars. Pay thousands for a booth, and then thousands in payroll to have agents stand around being seen.

**** on a boar and all that...

The other way I heard the .gov could get involved was if Fire/EMS are called to your house and they happen to see one out and go all Karen on you about it and call the po-po. I don't think that would happen around where I live, but in an urban area I could see it.
