I need to go back there soon. The radial engine cutaways they have are just absolutely fascinating. The mechanics inside those things are mind boggling. I can stare at one for hours.

Good day chaps. It is humid in here as well.

Not up to par with 11b stories, but bonehead move of the week goes to operator on press 400. Doing a mold change on next press over, this woman decides using a handheld torch to "cut" plastic wrap off a skid of cardboard boxes instead of a knife was a good idea.

Glad I was there, and a F/E was close by. Was spreading fast. Some people shouldn't be allowed to do more than stuff fry boxes.

How's everyone doing this fine hump day?

For years the Chrysler company had an AC division. Uniquely designed and did a good job of maintenance was done regularly.
The large commercial and industrial compressors they made were knock offs of the radial engine. They were damned amazing.

Even working in close proximity to a deep fryer is more than some should be allowed to do.

They had a mini A-10 when we were there in 2011

    Favorite air frame/platforms.

    Prop…
    P-38 lightning.
    P-51D.
Both were hard to outrun or outgun.
The P-51 has the absolute best lines of any thing with wings I am aware of.

    Jet.
    F-86.
    F-14 Tomcat

The 86 grabbed me up when I 1st read about it as a kid. The swept wings and silhouette along with the guns buried in the nose stole my heart.

The Tomcat was an amazing plane. It was huge and it was fast and it was deadly. The adjustable swept wings and blazing speed. It’s ability to mix it up in a dog fight and pick off 5 inbound threats over 100 miles out. It is still an impressive platform.

The Corsair and Mustangs were my favorites as a kid. For jets, it was the F86 and F15. The F15 is plain old good looking. Newer fighters have an ungainly look, as if a Brit designed them.
