Is it a VW ID.4? Did you reverse search the address to get a name? Maybe Shawn M.? If that sounds about right, maybe MYCASE his name and see if he has driving citations.
Shawn M.? As in Shawn Michaels? AKA Heartbreak Kid? AKA Mr. Wrestlemania? Sounds like a metal folding chair is the solution to this problem now that we have more info!

    Near the big river.
Always remember one time going to a store with my dad. I was maybe 10 years old, Dad was about as mild a guy as you could find. We were pulling into a spot and some women drove up to us at a fast pace and tried to cut us off. We were halfway into the spot so neither could get in and she was hollering at us and beeping the horn for him to move. Dad shut off the truck and we walked into the store with the truck sticking out of the spot. After a few minutes she got mad a drove off, dad went and pulled into the spot.

Really have a problem with tailgaters. Especially if I am on my motorcycle. When you look in the mirror and some a**hat is on their phone 5' from you. Usually pull over and let them go on their way. In my truck I slow down then speed up, slow down when they get close again, repeat. Lot of times they get the idea.

    So...
The police are aware and won't deal with it.
The police say if you approach him you may be charged with provocation.
Sounds like he has as "in" of some sort with the police and doing anything directly to correct his bad actions will result in trouble for you.

You must choose your path carefully. Commit no crime and be aware he will do whatever he wants and seems to have a "get out of jail free" card.

I have found that a quick touch of the brake pedal just enough to flash the brake lights is usually effective. I get a good laugh out of the tailgater's front end taking a nose dive from their hard breaking.

Center Grove police were kind enough to inform me if i approached him to talk and it got violent I could be charged with provocation :orly:

Like I'd do that without an audio recording going. They know this guy is a problem and the school has setup special pick up area for him. There is an officer on school grounds at pick up..but I was told they would NOT be there for this conversation :dunno:

Provocation is a ticket only. I've literally never seen it used at the scene and only know of one instance of it being charged. Sort of. It was a plea agreement on a weak battery case.

That said, outside of an official capacity I'm a pretty firm believer in not inserting myself into drama. If I'm not willing to get into a shooting over it, it's not enough of a problem for me to waste my time and effort on and trying to fix some random ******* is a waste of time and effort.

I wanted to do this to a car one time at Walmart. It was a small car, and he had parked right in front of the cart corral (in what would have been a parking spot except for, you know, it had a cart corral in it) with his rear end sticking out into the aisle.
Carry around some of the super heavy duty HVAC zip ties. They are about twice as thick as flex cuffs and 3' long as I recall. Nothing short of side cuts are going to cut them. Zip tie a cart to the car. Preferrably a handle if it has the kind you put your fingers down through. (not the old style that are hinged on top like a truck tailgate release.)

Even a good stout EDC knife is going to have trouble with them.

Or you can be more polite. Ive got these in my glove box.

Love it! Saw a truck parked right up in one of the closest spots at Kroger this morning straddling two spaces. I'd have definitely left that on his windshield.

Anybody remember these from Spencer Gifts back in the 70's?
