Getting a Glock because you can't find a CZ is like getting a Prius because you can't find a Ferrari. Not the same experience.

Well to be fair the OP's question really comes down to finger grooves or not and pretty much a few other smaller factors that have been answered. I was just asking a question to understand the comment I quoted.
I actually stopped in the wrong thread. All the G**** insanity overloaded my circuitry and I passed out. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Right on i appreciate that. I can get my hands on the glock 19 gen 5 for $425 currently. I dont think I should pass that up though.
get it if you don't like there's a line waiting to buy one 425... myself very much included on that list.

I had a cz I was thinking of parting ways for but man am I having doubts... those czs run. everything else is a let down since I changed to cz with some wizard love

Has the OP shot a glock before? If not he's in for a different experience. They definitely have a different grip angle and my 1st experience i totally hated my Glock 20sf. It took a few hundred rds to figure out how to point it because the grip angle is so weird compared to about everything else on the market.

Here ya go. Only $479.95 + $30 shipping.

Looks like some casual gun owner dropped it a few times, but it might buff out.

A Glock 19 will outlast you, and at $425 in this market, it's a no-brainer.

Get the workhorse now. You can always pick up a weekend BBQ gun later.

Man people need to understand how long a CZ will run. The used Milsurps are amazing with just a bit of clean up and attention. The more rounds ran the smoother they run.
he's right ya know. I know a fellow ingor who built a machine to dry fire his cz cause they only get better with time and use

Gen 5 with the serations and without the grip mag cut is the way to go. It is a noticable advance over the Gen 4, with a better barrel, better trigger and the factory "stippling" seems to not require a Talon grip tape to make it better.

I dunno anything about CZ's, but whether you have one or not, a Gen 5 G19 is never gonna be bad to have laying around in your safe. Backup, loaner, family, never bad to have an extra around one to part with, if needed. Parts, gear, mags, every other gun owner has multiple copies...

Just as a note, if someone doesn't like the half moon cutout on the earlier Gen5 19, there are quite a few companies that make magwells to fit over this and get rid of it. I have the half moon cut, but don't mind it because my hands don't really reach close enough to the cutout for it to be a problem.

I'm not a Glock fan but if you don't have a firearm get it practice with it. Have something to defend yourself and family. My Glock 20sf is reliable and accurate. Butt ugly pistol. Yet better looking than a Hi point. If the Glock 19 is as accurate and reliable as my 20sf. Well worth the price. Almost anything is better than nothing.

Yes, no difference between Gen 4 and 5 unless you count a different barrel rifling, trigger, finish.....etc.

I'm not knocking those or the Gen 4's. Just sayin' that if there is choice, err on the side of the current way they are making them. You're not gonna go wrong with any of them, if you find one available at reasonable pricing you should buy it.

As mentioned above, buy 'em all, if you are without. We don't know how things might go politically or socially, but a solid bet is that things won't get better for a while. Better to buy while you can rather than waiting on something that might be VERY expensive later or not available at all.

Try to get the seller to throw in some ammo on the deal. ;)
