Selling my HK 416D 22LR plus the difference as my (early) birthday gift from my loving wife, brought this home Saturday from The Outdoorsman Shop in Greenwood. One of these days I'll learn to stay out of there, but as always a fair price was given and a positive experience was had. This TacSol has their receiver, barrel, extended mag release & trigger group all in an anodized forest green. The stock is a Mapgul Hunter in FDE. The pictures really don't do the colors justice. I stole the Leupold Vx-1 scope off of my T-Bolt until I can decide what optic I want on this.

Let me know if you start seeing light strikes on your tacsol. Idk what has changed in mine but it seems to get a light strike every magazine now, I'm thinking it will have to go back. The troubles I'm running into seem to be consistent with others, but once they get their guns back from tacsol they seem to run reliably forever.

I had 1 in the first ~150 rounds that I fed it Sunday. It was in the first 50 which were Browning ammo. Don’t recall any on the CCi, Eley, Fiocchi or Geco Match. I’ll keep watch for any others or if starts being a pattern.

I've now had it with eley, Remington, federal, cci, and gemtech. I am not too discouraged, I've never read an example of them not fixing it on the first visit and it isn't like i'm depending my life on it. Minor annoyance having to ship it tho.

Heres my 10/22 build i just finished. 18" ksa fluted heavy barrel, Hogue Overmolded thumbhole stock, Kidd charging handle and springs, Kidd extended mag release, Tandemkross v-block & eagle claw extractor, Ruger bx trigger worked down to 2.25# pull, UTG bipod, Leupold scope mount, and a Pursuit 3-12×40 scope. Pretty decent accuracy on first time out at 50 yards.

Revive this thread. Took a power lunch. Function checked the g17 after forcing a confession with a soldering iron, and finished by running 60 rounds through the RAR Target with the Thunderbeast 22td suppressor. Ran 6 different varieties on the same target and made a pretty good hole. Shooting unsupported aside from leaning on a post the fliers are all me.

Got to Atterbury a few weekends ago with the Tactical Toilet Plunger-equipped 455:

    My list of excuses:
    -- I'm not a very good shot
-- Ammo was only Fed Match (the cheapest grade of "match" you get for $6, UM22 it is NOT).
-- Cheap Calwell bipod isn't very stable and
-- No rear bag, just a rolled up towel.

Oh, and I had sinus aggravation that day.

I'm sure there are more excuses, but that's enough for now.

No excuses (for good shooting!). Nice work!

I'm more impressed by a 22 that can shoot a lot of ammo well, over one that shoots one type excellent. There isn't a squirrel in the woods that would get away from that group Hohn :D

Same here. This 455 will hold 2MOA with almost any bulk pack, which I find more impressive than what it can do with Lapua Midas or Center X (i.e. the $160/brick stuff).

I don't think I could ever get myself to spend that money on a 22 unless it was one of the ELR handbuilt bolt guns vudoo and others put out. Even then, I'd hope it would run federal gold medal as well as my ruger does.
