I am lost when it comes to cell phones. Whats the deal with these new iphones, do they have like a walkman built inside them or something?
had my iphone jailbroken on 2.x, but havent done it again since 3.x came out. its not too hard and does open up some new toys to your phone. its a fun little hobby. i have been modding phones since my old motorolas, and i had quite a few of those before moving on to the iphone. if you need some help, or want some more info check out Apple & iPhone News | Forums | ModMyi.com
if you like the iphone and verizon then you may want to wait because there are rumblings high up at AT&T about verizon getting it when their contract with apple runs out.
I have an Ipod Touch and have used many brands of smart phones. My current smart phone is the brand new Palm Pre. I've also used Blackberry, Palm Centro, Palm Treo, etc. If I could switch to the iPhone I would do it in a heartbeat.
The Touch and the iPhone are simply better devices than all the other units out there combined.
Just to add to it, you can add programs to it. Its not just an internet browser or for playing games. Specifically, there are ballistics programs where you input the pertinent information on your cartridge and conditions and it will calculate the windage/elevation adjustments you need to make. There are hundreds of thousands of programs that can be downloaded for free or a small fee and they cover all sorts of things you may want/need to do with it.They're basically a little touchscreen computer with internet access, a phone, an MP3 player, and a camera all wrapped up in a neat little package, and then some. They can play games, you name it, it can just about do it. Impressive piece of kit, there are cheaper options out there that can do similar tasks, but I don't know of a better one that does it all.
