Walmart on Pendleton Pike & Sunnyside Rd this evening around 6. There was a guy in the frozen food section OCing a metal gun in a Blackhawk Serpa. Red shirt, tan shorts, bottle feeding a baby at the time. I said hello and mentioned INGO, but he seemed quite occupied. I believe he was trying to CC but his shirt being held up by the baby exposed the gun.

I was at Subway in Shelbyville for lunch today and saw a guy come in carrying. I turned to my fiance and she says what if a 5 year old walked in here. I'm so proud of her for recognizing the dangers.

McAllisters in Greenwood earlier this afternoon, looked like striker fired semi-auto; arrived shortly after the family with 5 year olds left, crisis averted.

Sitting in my car Saturday working an off-duty job and saw a guy OC'ing a Kimber. I gave him a thumbs up and he came over to talk for a few minutes. No five year old girls around at the time so he was safe.

The fiance and I were headed out for a date night yesterday afternoon, and stopped at the Circle K on US40 in Plainfield for some gas. I glanced around when I got out of the car, and noticed that at a nearby pump there was a gentleman who was with what I can only assume to be his wife and young kid (the child looked under 10.) The reason he caught my eye was because he seemed abnormally nervous, practically radiating it. He was glancing around, and when his eyes met mine, he looked down and away.

"That's odd," I thought. "Wonder what's got him going?" A few seconds later, I saw why.

As he stepped away from the concrete block that blocked me from seeing the lower half of his body, I saw that he was open carrying. Obviously I have no problem with that - I usually "lazy conceal" under a jacket, and it's getting to be the time of year when I just say screw it and OC myself. Usually when I see someone else OC'ing, I actually end up in a pleasant conversation, which has happened a few times at that very gas station. This time, not so much.

I saw what appeared to be a chrome desert eagle (if it wasn't a desert eagle, it was a damned big pistol) stuffed haphazardly without a holster between his belt and the waistband of his jeans. Just chillin' there.

Now, I'm never one to judge a man for his preferred carry method, but come on. I understand it can be expensive to acquire enough material to cover that honking huge piece of hardware, but if you're going to drop $1500+ on a sidearm, spend some money on a gorram holster. Don't just run around with it pointed at your junk with the trigger exposed.

At least the hammer didn't appear to be cocked...

The Meijer on Grape in Mishawaka about 7ish tonight. Skinny guy with a beard and tattoos had a revolver in a leather holster on his right hip. Could have used a better belt than the 1" wide one he had on.

I-465/Emmerson Wal-Mart, sunday around 1 PM, getting some patio bricks, two birthday cards, and a bag-o- beef jerky for mama in the Garden section, cashier could not find a code for the $1.04 patio bricks and had to enter the data one at a time at the register (could not enter "one" and then the others at once) so it took a while (yep thats me the guy who always holds up the line) dude behind me just wanted a garden hose, heck his house could have been on fire for all I know, but................the gal behind him?!? Full size GLOCK on her hip OC in a BlackHawk Serpa holster. (You go girl) I asked her if it was a 9mm or .40 S&W and she said a "FOUR D"! Nice, I said, I like .40 Glocks myself, and as the cashier was still entering and ringing up my twenty bricks of pure garden rabbit stoppers (have to put them around the garden to keep BUGS away, old chicken wire fence has holes in it) Garden hose had to chime in, he was a Beretta fan. I was going to ask G-Girl what agency she worked for when it dawned on me I wasn't in Fishers anymore and here on Emmerson (and soon to be in Fishers too) carrying a firearm is just not a fashion statement. My G-27 concealed, I took my Beef and Bricks and went home. Bet nobody messed with G-Girl in the parking lot................You GO Girl!

Just moved into my new apartment yesterday. I was leaving the apartment as my neighbor was leaving also. I was OCing like usual, when I turned to hear him ask "what is that?" I answered and also saw he was carrying An XD45. Hope we can become good friends.

Strack's Grocery store, Lowell, couple days ago. Was with his wife/girl and daughter. Tats, sleeveless shirt, GLOCK(like me). Looked like a bum, just like me. I was in a hurry or I would have stopped to chat. Weird part is, I'm used to Arizona where everybody carries and not just one. They'll have a crossdraw or shoulder rig and one on the belt with an AR15 on the seat of the car. Two different worlds!!!!

Well, there's no "where did you see CC today" thread so I'll put this here: yesterday at Meijer on southport rd & Emerson ave... Saw a man wearin a S&W shirt obviously printing a full sized handgun under his shirt.
