I don't know if this is in the right section. But, it seems to me that where a person gets their news might be related to their views on certain topics. So, I thought I would start a topic and we could maybe see where we get our news.

I read the Post Tribune (NWI) every morning (delivered)
I read The Times (NWI) every morning (online only)
I check out MSNBC.com for anything interesting
I check out the Associated Press (AP.org) for anything interesting
I read REFORMA.COM to practice my Spanish
I watch the previous night's episode of The Daily Show online.
I also listen to news radio when I am in my car. News. Not talk radio. Well, I listen to Roe Conn on WLS 890AM. That's dude's awesome.

I don't watch cable or broadcast news except to look at the reporters and debate which girls would be better in porn.

I think this thread would be better off over in the Political forum, because that's where it will eventually end up. They are too closely related to not be brought up, and almost undoubtedly an arguement will ensue once someone gets their news source bashed for biased reporting or something.

To answer your question, here's where my news comes from:

    1.) Email -
The Heritage Foundation's Morning Bell (Daily)
BBC Sport's Formula One News (Daily)
Rush Limbaugh's Rush in a Hurry show notes (Daily)
    WIBC Breaking News Updates

    2.) Radio -

    FM: 93.1 WIBC
    FM: 90.1 WFYI
    AM: 1430 WXNT

    3.) Television -
    FOX News
    Bill O'Reilly
    Hannity

This would be a better poll if it didn't have your left leaning comments after all of the sources. I watch Fox but I don't LOVE Cheney or W. do I think they screwed it all up? Nope? Did they do it all right? Nope are there far worse presidents and Vp's in our history then them... uhhhh Yeah (current included). CNN more babes than Fox... not hardly. I watch FOX for the news though not the babes, they are a bonus. I also get lots of other info from lots of other sources of which I do not have time to list all currently.

In fairness, the OP put it in the political forum, and I moved it because it's not necessarily politically related. IE: I read MSNBC because it's what hotmail redirects to when I log out, and I spend more time reading the US News, Entertainment, Health, and Travel sections than I do the White House/Politics sections.

Well, I don't think I was too left-leaning. I made the W & Cheney comment after Fox News because yeah, it's right-leaning. I made the Masochist comment after MSNBC because it's left leaning. Masochism is when a person takes pleasure from pain. I made the babe comment about CNN because I am not sure if it's left or right leaning, since I don't watch it. But, what I have seen, are babes. I put the Daily Show on there because it's funny and it's not really news but people watch it. I made the Old School comment after Broadcast News because we are in the era of 24 hour news channels and not everyone sits down at 5:30 anymore to watch the anchors on the Big 3. And, I put Naked News on there because you can't get much more unbiased that hot naked chicks.

But, here is the humor in all of these arguments. A lot of people that complain that the "mainstream media" is left leaning biased and too liberal, only watch FOX News. And, people who watch the "mainstream media" say FOX News is right leaning biased and too conservative. The deal is that FOX News is biased conservative and MSNBC and CNN are biased liberal. There is no truly neutral news network anymore. And, a lot of people who complain about the news being biased in either direction, only watch their networks because they want their opinions and beliefs re-enforced. That is the purpose of this post. People who don't want to call themselves into question, only watch or read something that keeps them believing they are right. Because, admitting you might be mistaken, is too difficult.

I don't watch the other stations as I get enough leftist banter from my leftist co-workers spouting off their CNN filled feeble minds trying to sound smart. I watch FOX to wash all of their attempts at brainwashing out of my system and to annoy them. I only watch two of the FOX shows (Beck and O'Reilly) and only DVR one of them (Beck). You need not define words for me I know what they mean.

I voted Fox not necessarily for the reasons given, but because I keep it on there more than the others. I usually watch some morning network tv as well as evening news to see what they are stressing (spinning). I read the London Daily Telegraph also, Yahoo news, Drudge, etc.

I guess you said TV news but I don't watch that...

I have a book mark for Fark.com Awesome place for news. I did have it open all of the time but then I added INGO which is open ALL of the time. I had to remove one of them.

    I always check the following:

IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star | Indianapolis news, sports, business, community, entertainment, yellow pages and classifieds. Serving Indianapolis, Indiana - Indy Star webpage
Advance Indiana - Indiana Political Blog
Indiana Barrister - Indiana Political Blog

The local news stations, and Fox every so often.

I also read timebomb2000.com, which is a website that evolved around the Y2K bug. It is currently a vBulletin forum that is preparedness/survivalist leaning. There are many political and other discussions as well. I catch almost all the major news stories via this website (most of which is taken from Drudge and other and just re-posted by members).

For financial news, I check out Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis A pretty good no-nonsense financial blog.
