Does the teacher have a fat ass? If so, then isn't it just a statement of fact?

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me, unless a 15 y/o types them on the interwebz. That **** is real yo!!!

It's not suspension worthy, but not a great idea to post that on FB.

It's also a general lack of respect that seems common in today's young people.

You never called your teachers names when they weren't around? :n00b:

Pretty sure the Beaver even called Mrs. Swanson a meanie.

    We all called folks names.

But if you all can't see the general laziness and lack of respect in a LOT of young people today, then you haven't spent much time around them.

Adults said the same then about my Generation 20+ years ago...
Adults said the Same thing about my Parents Generation of the '60's...
I even remember my Great-Grandfather talking about my Grandfathers Generation as never do wells...

This is why I try to tell my kids and nieces/nephews....."if you don't want people to know what you think and don't want people to read it, don't put it online!"

If the student can call the teacher names, why can't the teacher do something insulting to the student as long as it does not provide secure or protected information like grades? Teachers have feelings too. Many of my teachers are gone, but on the rare occasion that I do run into one, I still call them by Mrs. or Mr. out of respect and the memory that they actually put up with me in their class. I would not want to be a teacher in public schools today.

I hope everyone realizes that this is one of the byproducts of the public education system.

You force students to attend school, you protect teachers regardless of performance, you define how, what, when, and where a teacher presents material, and then tell them that XX% of students are going to graduate regardless of grades.

Then everyone is all surprised when stuff like this happens, and they blame if on the lack of respect the current generation has for their elders.

I guarantee you that if little suzy was paying for school out of her allowance, and Mrs. Jones could fail her for saying things like that, then none of this would happen. First, Suzy wouldn't attend class if she thought the teacher was doing a bad job. She'd take her money elsewhere. Mrs Jones would refuse to accept a client that was that disrespectful.

The free market, based on incentives, works, all the time, every time.

A good part of the reason for minors being mouthy and disrespectful to adults is they've been indoctrinated with the belief that "I'm a minor and you can't touch me. If you do I'll call the police".
So in the meantime, I'll just feed you sh*t because I can.

SURE, we said mouthy stuff about teachers and coaches, but we didn't EVER make the mistake of saying to their face.

When I was young and growing up, things were different.

If I was dumb enough to mouth off to an adult, I risked getting my ass beat.
In fact, my dad was "old school" (born 1908) and made it known to adults that if his son (me) gave them any trouble, feel free to whip him.
And in those days, a great many of the men around town were WW2 and Korean War veterans who weren't about to put up with my sh*t.

Even when I was in high school in the early 70's, if you got mouthy with a great many of the male teachers, you'd get thrown up against the wall and shown what a punk you were in front of your peers.
    VERY humbling....
Even the Principal was a guy about 6'4" who you didn't want to **** off.
His summer job was as a bouncer...
BUT on the flip side, these strong male teachers were hard on us because they cared that we grow up to be proper men.
Teaching WASN'T just a job to them, they were great guys.

I'm glad I grew up then instead of now because I knew that even as a minor, if I mouthed off to an adult I was going to answer for it.

And I WAS a young man that NEEDED to be dealt with by a strong hand(s), and thank God I had it.
