MSG 2 - Greenfield September Meeting

I am proposing another meeting for Greenfield area MSG on Sept. 21st. We had one in the spring.

I would suggest meeting some where on a Friday evening after work. We need a somewhat private room so that we can carry on a group conversation without having to shout. Perhaps the library ( http://www.greenfieldpub.lib.in.us/about/policy/meeting.htm ) or at a church?

Montana Mike's had great food but the atmosphere was not conducive to group conversation.

Are we there to eat or to meet?

I believe that medical training and food preservation are overlooked topics that we should consider.

I can offer the place, and the training depending on date. My church has several rooms available, a nice sized kitchen, a grill, picnic tables outside. (Calvary Baptist on US 40 across from Lilly) Depending what kind of training and food preservation y'all want I'm open to hosting, not to mention with deer season around the corner I can do butchering lessons also. I run all lessons through my business, so I have my own equipment, supplies, AV equipt.,

I can offer the following:
CPR (adult/child/infant)
First Aid (medical/basic trauma)
Violent trauma (includes basic trauma)
Advanced Trauma ( in depth procedures such as sutures/surgical airway/decompression/IV skills)

Price would depend on the class, class size, number of classes offered. I promise it will be the cheapest training around. <$50 a head.

All the classes above are 4-5hrs, I could tailor a class specific for a MSG that would be about an hour, and more than happy to do it pro-bono. It would be very abreviated, but would get everyone's foot in the door first aid wise.

I do my own food preservation also, but am an a mature, wouldn't feel comfortable teaching.

I am a possible. I will need to have an electrical outlet close by for a breathing treatment. I will let you know further down the road and it will depend on where the meeting is. You mentioned the library, do they have sections for meetings? Sorry I have not been inside the library yet.

The location is being finalized. Redneckmedic has volunteered to make a presentation on First Aid. It will most likely be at his church on the west side of Greenfield.
