So since Dick's stopped selling AR's what did they do with them.
I have a theory. They waited until they sold out before making the big annoucement. By the time they made thier statement almost everyone was out and they never really stock very many in the first place.
Or put them back in the back, waiting until every other store is out and then they will reverse their decision and sell them for 3x more then originally and make triple profit. I have already heard about price fixing by some gun shops.
I was told by the one in Hobart that they put them in the back. They were selling them to FFLs and other stores, but they were locked out of their registers so they couldn't sell them if they wanted to. They were told also not to order anymore until further notice.
they pulled them because they had obligation to sell them at advertised prices..
stop selling them retail, sell them in bulk at a huge profit to some other store..
This just reinforces that I won't shop at Dick's. I was a Galyan's fan and after they got dicked by Dick's, I just can't and won't spend my money there.
I have a friend who is a manager at a local Dicks. She told me they pulled anything that could be construed as an Assault Rifle and holds more than 10 rounds in respect for what happened in Connecticut (this includes real rifles, air soft, paintball guns). I also believe she said they pulled any box of ammo that contains more than 10 rounds.
I pretty much laughed in her face, and my friend told her I was carrying an Assault Pistol since my G17 holds more than 10 rounds.
