Like the article said, I am sure the media will make as much fun of him as they did Palin over the Revere thing (which turned out that she was more right than wrong).

Maybe one of his staff members can google Horace Greeley, Salmon Chase and Charles Sumner for him....

Btw, we have never chosen our president based on intellect. Never, ever, will the smartest man be elected by the masses. When it comes to politics, charisma trumps intellect and deception trumps honesty.

Barry's powerful intellect was used as a smoke screen to prevent people from asking the media why they were not vetting Obama.

Obama is dimwitted but very smooth.

I recall some outlets in the mass media very specifically making the case that he was not experienced... even going as far as to suggest that he was not an American citizen...

He was vetted, he was just not criticized by the left leaning media outlets. Most valid criticisms were overshadowed by unsubstantiated claims, a political play that worked against the republican party.

    But yes, he is smooth...

If any of these people were presidential candidates, we would likely not elect them: The World's Top 8 Smartest People

If he was American, or raised and schooled here, maybe he would know some U.S. history.

Since when did the public school system start teaching American History? ;)

Honestly, I have learned more American History as an adult than I ever learned in school. I'd also venture to say that INGO members possess more accurate historical knowledge than entire Indianapolis Public School system.

(Shameless INGO plug, I know, but it's true) :D

Outside of Sean Hannity, which outlets were those?

The only experience Obama has is in digging around in divorce files. If the Republican nominee is Gingrich, Barry is in business.

    By whom?

Well, believe it or not Hannity is aired on the most watched news outlet in America, so you yielded one person who aired an entire special regarding his experience....
    [ame="http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1928931/obamas_experience/"]Obama's Experience - Video[/ame]

Even one of the segments our own Indianapolis star did on Obama hit the topic of his experience:
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNs_u9d9E94[/ame]

"Change vs Experience" was almost token slogan during many points of the 2008 election.... since lack of experience was one of the main talking his opponents campaigned on, it was everywhere in the media....

I did not want Obama to become president, and I believe many other people would have been a better fit for the position... but to believe that any candidate campaigns and wins the executive branch without being vetted is ridiculous. Previous to becoming president, he was also a senator... so although he was not a household name before the election - he had a political track record previous to 2008.

Look at what happens when a Republican (Gov. Cornpone) says that Lincoln is the founder of the Republican Party:

JustOneMinute: Big Media Pounces On Lincoln Gaffe

but to believe that any candidate campaigns and wins the executive branch without being vetted is ridiculous. Previous to becoming president, he was also a senator... so although he was not a household name before the election - he had a political track record previous to 2008.

It's not ridiculous, we saw it happen.

Obama's political track record prior to 2008? Yeah, it involved a bunch of sleazy rummaging through divorce files. He walked into office--TWICE--because of friendly judges who allowed his PIs and the media (Axelrod) into dirty laundry. The job Obama pulled on Jack Ryan was outrageous.

Did you hear anything about either incident in 2008? No, you did not.

Obama was Senator for a day or two. His track record included voting in favor of killing children and voting "present". The media told its viewers nothing about this outrages.

To paraphrase Ann Coulter, the media asked Obama about what his parents would think of him being the nominee and Sarah Palin was required to memorize the last six kings of Swaziland. Obama got softballs and blind eyes because of the white guilt that overtook this nation by storm.

I hope in the 2012 election both candidate get many hard questions.

Really? THis may have been the most wrong statements in recent memory on INGO.

Numbers for the week of August 29:

    NBC ABC CBS
    • Total Viewers: 7,862,000 7,234,000 5,884,000

While Hannity runs around 2,000,000 or so.

The masses are focused on how candidates can answer history questions. I'm more interested in how they are going to infringe on my liberties.

Actually I agree with you that they should be asked questions about their understanding of the Constitution and how it applies to different situations. I don't really care if they know who the leader of Tajikistan is.

While knowing history is important, but what good does it to us if the politicians know every minute detail of our founding if they're going to continue voting the way they do? It'd be like memorizing the entire bible, reciting it to others and openly violating every tenet of it. And then bragging about how you have it memorized.
