Good luck to you, but you’re definitely rolling the dice. My neighbor has a couple of friends who got the disease and recovered, but both have experienced post-recovery weakness and exhaustion symptoms for several months now. One can barely walk from one end of his house to the other without having to rest and neither are geriatrics. That can really crimp one’s lifestyle!
I'm half tempted to get the antibody test. I get winded easily now, but chalked it up to sitting on my butt for a year working from home. But my sense of taste has been "off" for some time now. Some things, especially ham and beef have an almost "metallic" taste to them. I never had any symptoms that I recall though, but I'd be interested to see what the results would be.

Sounds like that combination of symptoms can result from a myriad of causes, not just covid.

OMG! I hope I'm not pregnant! I'm too old, and of the wrong gender for that! :): I've had allergies and never experienced this before. I'm not showing any signs of kidney failure. I don't know what the cause is, but it might be worth looking into I think. And I'm not really fatigued. Just get winded easily.

Funny! But now just to be sure on the pregnant thing - you haven’t identified as female have you, because you know, that can change reality!!!

I think that there were a lot of "false positives" and consequently a lot of people had a cold, got over it, and went on with their lives. I know several people who really got Covid and were miserable, unlike anything they had ever had. One of them got it in March of 2020 and has not recovered yet.

Indiana has dropped the age to 55 for COVID vaccine as of this morning's announcement.
Also announced this week, Indiana will no longer give vaccinations to Illinois residents.

Any Illinois resident who already had their 1st jab will be able to return for their 2nd appointment and get the 2nd dose, but no additional Illinois residents will be allowed to get their 1st dose.

Wouldn't hurt anything. I've been seeing some reports of asymptomatic cases eventually having long term issues.

That must be why I received a text from the local hospital today advising the vaccine was available for free for those 55+.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll gladly donate my vaccine to any Biden supporter who wants it.
Lots of Trump supporters that want it too. Just saying...

Why give it to an anti-gun socialist when there are plenty of pro-gun liberty minded individuals that would gladly take that vaccine.

Wait. People from the Democratic Republic of Illinois were coming here to the "boonies and hicks" to get their shots?
I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.

They allowed people who work in Indiana who were otherwise eligible to be vaccinated here. This was primarily intended to be for healthcare providers and first responders who work in Indiana as, originally, those were the people eligible and then it progressed to ages where people are normally not working any longer. As the eligibility age is now down to people not of retirement age, they ended that practice.

Get ready for a wave of disability claims. I have spoken with people that have “recovered“ and say they have on going issues. They want to figure out a way to stay home and collect disability.

Well sure. This is just the latest opportunity. In the lawsuit defense game, I have seen plenty or people who, though they would never say it out loud, probably think the day they had that accident or work injury was the best day of their lives.
