Unfortunately it's police departments everywhere. Our city is down 12 officers. We are the largest city in Porter county. Currently each shift is running 6 patrol officers. Which is pretty lean considering all the territory they must patrol.

Does the Sheriffs Dept also patrol in town?

Not so much in town. Mostly the main thorough fares running through the city.

If the ME report was omitted from the trial (which I doubt), a jury found him guilty even WITH that report says. No retrial.

Not sure why it is being reported on like its brand new evidence come to light.

It was narrowly reported. Mainstream sources wanted to stay with the narrative. Which became that the official autopsy supported signs that Floyd was murdered. Of course the reports that the autopsy did not support murder was called misinformation.

The family had a forensic expert do another autopsy, which…surprise! He was murdered. And then later I think the coroner even flipped the scrip during the trial and supported the prosecution.

That’s my recollection anyway. But I have to admit my recollector is getting old and less reliable these days.
