    Hmmm suppressed savage 99.
That is a New one. I have seen a can on a 357 lever. Guess one could do it.

If that is a savage 99 in say 300 savage with the brass round counter please don’t. If it is a series E 308 fine common enough.

It should be able to be threaded with teh barrel in the action, if it can be fit in the smiths lathe. Allen at Diamond Collision threaded my 1892 Rossi without removing the barrel, I believe. The action hangs out of the back of the headstock. Savage 99’s generally have pretty thin barrels. That might limit what can be done. If it’s a 30 cal, you might not have enough meat for 5/8-24 and might have to do something odd like 1/2-28 and have a thread adaptor on it. Are you threading for a suppressor? What cal is the rifle and the suppressor?
