A few years back I was debating Voter ID laws online with a liberal and he kept telling me that those laws are racist. I honestly did not understand what he meant and kept asking for details, until he eventually came right out and said that the average black person isn't capable of doing all the steps necessary to obtain ID. I really was stunned that this was the viewpoint of the guy calling me a racist and said so. The result was that he actually did seem to have an epiphany on this issue at least.
