With real BP rather difficult to find on line and can not recall last time (at least longer than 18 months) I saw real BP available OTC near me and Hodgdon 777 and Pyrodex RS always available OTC by me was wondering what is considered the best most reliably igniting BP sub?

With real black powder you want FFG. If you must have the real thing, I happen to know where a pound can be had but it is a long way from you.

777, switch it out to musket caps and never look back. I prefer Swiss, but 777 WILL work if you can't get black. MUCH better than not shooting at all.
