Friday 5-15 shot @ Atterbury for first time since they remodeled it & started charging $.

    fantastic!
    yes, fantastic customer service
    yes, fantastic range officer.

    hour for $7

also first 100 yd range I have used in about three years.

.222 Rem Savage shot very well.

Atterbury range was open & busy @ 1pm reservation.
an hour later I was only one there.
so should be able to get a lane this week-end for anybody in the area.

many thanks to IDNR for opening FWA ranges.

I was thinking Gov. was keeping them closed until July 4th target as last things open.

looks to be six weeks ahead if me:)

    Next week:)

Has anyone been to Jasper Pulaski? Is the range there open? Planning some clay shooting there tomorrow

Ran over there right when they opened on Thursday. Nice range officers. No issues. Asking for everyone to wipe down their stations after use with supplied spray. Was a pleasant experience.

Side note: The 200 yard bay was absolutely soaked with standing water. More rain heading through Lake County as I type, so don't think that'd help the situation much. Water proof boots a must on all bays, 200 yard was passable after rolling up pant legs.

I had not been there in a couple years. Each bay is a little different. Bring staplers for plywood backers on some bays. Other bays had REALLY scant metal supports. You'd be wise to bring a huge sheet of cardboard (4x2 FT) to staple to just so you're covered for all bays.

Sugar Ridge was open for business this week. Went on Thursday. They had the middle benches covered at every bay and hand sanitizer at the benches.

Called Winamac FWA. Their ranges both rifle and trap are open normal hours/schedule.The associate at the Winamac office indicated they supply sanitizing stuff at the rifle range.

    shot rifle Wilbur Wright Sat.
    only have 1/2 benches open!!!

    3 are rifle 50 yd.
    3 are pistol 25 yd.
    1 shotgun

    very poor setup.

easily more than 6 ft. between benches.

but some one decided to close 1/2.

    when I arrived....

    3 rifle benches used. "full"

2 pistol benches. 1 open for business!

    shotgun range used.

I did get to shoot my rifle & check

    had to wait.

    comment:
    but I would wait again.

    good people run the range.

gov. & DNR FWA mangers probably waiting for that "magic day"
    July 4th

set by gov. & lady box

I'm a noob when it comes to public ranges. For Wilbur Wright specifically, do they provide a place to hand your targets? Or do you need to bring some sort a stand?
I have only shot at commercial ranges before, so it's a bit new to me. I have a couple new rifles to zero in, so I want to make sure I have the right stuff before I make the 1hr drive.

Wilbur Wright has target stands, just bring targets and a stapler (I think they have a couple staplers but not 100% on that).
