Custom 4 inch 629 I got off Gunbroker recently, looked even better in person than the pictures I saw. It was quality work and set up like I do most of my revolvers, recrowned barrel, chamfered cylinder holes, nice trigger, beadblasted finish, and this one had the speedloader modification on the cylinder release, and a machined in sight base.

Man, that is purty. A Vaquero in 45 colt is at the top of my wish list right now.

Thank you sir, I'm quite fond of it myself.

I also have a three-screw single six from '71 that didn't make the photo album yet.

I've been thinking about picking up one of those Wranglers to keep the round count down on the old classic.

A couple days ago, I examined a pair of Rock Island Armory M200 & M206 revolvers at a local gun shop. They were on consignment & the price was outrageous. So, I drove to the Rural King in Kendallville, Indiana & bought a 4" M200 then went to the range the next day and ran a box of Magtech 158 gr. FMC .38 Spl. through it. It outperformed its price so I returned to Rural King & bought a 2" M206. I've yet to fire it.
They're both a little rough with a few sharp edges but I don't have $500.00 in the pair & that includes tax, title & out the door. They'll be my "knock around throw away" guns & save some rough use from my "good " revolvers.
Here's a picture of the RIA el cheapos with a 3" S&W Mod. 60 for size comparison. None of them are for sale at this time. 1633814137865.png

I'll share this for my father; a family friend passed away, and he was offered a chance to buy one of the gentleman's guns. I'd say he chose wisely.

A 1980 Smith and Wesson 629 (no dash) with an 8 3/8" barrel. Had the original grips, wooden presentation case, cardboard box, price tag, and adverts that came with the gun. Said it appeared to have been shot very little. There was also a 6" 629 (no dash) that appeared well used and was clearly the preferred shooting iron. This one must have been a safe queen. Don't come across LNIB Smiths like this every day.0

I picked up this Taurus Ultra Lite .38 from a friend, a couple of months ago. It's rated for +P, but at 17 ounces, empty, it's a bit of a handful with +P ammo. I think that may be the reason why he sold it.

Great carry gun, though, Just about forget that you are carrying it after a short while. I have been filling it up with 125 grain JHPs from Hornady.

Colt Officers Model 38 (2nd issue) with 7.5" barrel 101 years old. Original finish. I love the sights. It's not a wall-hanger, but just shoot squirrel fart target handloads in it. 148gr HBWC/2.8gr BE. See no reason to beat it up with macho loads. Have a new S&W 586 for when that need arises!
