Well...that would have to be my FP-45 Liberator pistol. Or...at least it was the most unusual I have owned--as in past tense, sadly. I wont go into that in this post. But for sure of all the guns I have owned, this was the most unusual or rare...at least for me anyway. Maybe a close second would be a .36 cal Kentucky squirrel rifle that was passed down from a couple generations ago...still in the family but I gifted it to another family member years ago. LOVE those old BP long guns!!

Marlin model 99 tube fed semiautomatic 22LR with the original marlin 4X scope. Belonged to my dad, bought by my mom in '60-'61. Never seen another one.
Remington 870 wingmaster 20g. Plain barrel, uncheckered stock

How about a South African Vektor SP1 Target. Basically a Beretta 92 clone. Check out Forgotten Weapons for now info.

Most of my stuff is pretty off-the-shelf utilitarian. The rarest one is probably my Marlin 56 Levermatic. They made a decent number of them, but it's the only one I've ever seen, and it's an interesting little box-mag fed short-throw lever action .22. It's quick and fun to shoot, but if the springs ever break I'm going to have a heck of a time sourcing new ones.

I’m not sure the gun is particularly rare but I believe it’s somewhat rare to find one with the original box. Here is my 1977 Sig P220 originally imported by Browning as the BDA. View attachment 162018

I think there were 10,000 imported between 77 and 80, 300 in 38 super and the rest were in 45 acp and 9mm, mine is in 45 acp and it’s a 77 also, I wish I had the original box and paperwork, but I don’t, I picked it up for 125 dollars less than 10 years ago, and the next gun show I went to, I took it looking for a different set of grips, and a dealer offered me 500 for it! I passed, and now I have 3 extra mags for it! And it ain’t going anywhere as long as I’m alive!

M1 Tanker in 308 Win. built on a 1945 Springfield receiver. Accurate and easy on the shoulder.

Ranger 101.16 (aka Stevens 87M). The story gose that Savage/Stevens made 400 of these in 1940 to be used as M1 Garand trainers. But the military rejected the offer, so the rifles were badged as different brands and sold off. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's still a pretty cool story.

Along with the OP I have a Lifecard but in 22WMR which just amplifies the ridiculousness of it, but it is easier to hold on to than the NAA Pug "The Dude" I bought because "it looks cool." I also have a Marlin .22 lever that I haven't been able to determine its age, no serial. Based on parts diagrams and some features it looks to be older than the 39A.

On the line of 'unusual' I found a factory Squires Bingham semi auto .22 with a factory muzzle break on it. After LMAO, I had to have it!

I also acquired a Winchester 1902 barreled receiver mounted on a Winchester 67 stock and held on with a hose clamp. I am not certain, but I think the hose clamp is vintage...

Ignore the rust, it will go bye bye soon.
