Have a black Magpul MBUS front sight on my S&W 15-22 indoor plinker.
My old eyes are have difficulty seeing the front (adjustable) post in the low light conditions.
Can I just get an aftermarket front post with either fiber optic or tritium insert and fit it into the existing MBUS sight?
    Any recommendations/ideas? Thanks

Works for the same reason you paint your check bones white at night, to bounce the light up.

At the moment the post “is” painted white, but......for my eyes,...it was a waste of paint n time...thanks anyhow.

In the future, I might go the way of a night sight but for now this will work.
Gonna try for Mon or Tues this week to adjust n sight in.
So far tho with the ambient lighting in the house, not too bad.
