Yes! I had a 78 z28. Just big tires and not slicks but jacked up! Not sure why we are jacking up the wrong end of a vehicle these days:dunno: 70’s looked cool but today looks like a fool.!.?!.
Yeah and bell bottoms (insert literally any trend) looked cool too…..

When a guy lifted the back end of a Camaro (or Mustang or Nova or Dart or whatever), it was so he could put wider tires on it without tubbing it. Whether or not a guy set up the suspension to take advantage, the intent made sense.

The Carolina squat does seem to be a popular thing with guys that wear flat billed hats, have neck beards, and leave their pants hung up on the top of their boots for no reason.

We’re not talking pants man…we’re talking muscle cars.
Guarantee there was some big trend in the motor world that just didn’t make sense but the people that did it loved it and the people that didn’t hated it. Vans come to mind… low riders …vow’s…. All had huge followings for the people that followed them but outsiders looking in…. Probably thought it was stupid.

I do not understand all the speculation, clearly there is a fully loaded invisible trailer attached. Think smacking your shin is bad on the receive, try slamming your knee into the side of one!
