West Lafayette city attorney offered alternatives. I found none optimal.

We are having lunch later this week. I am billing rhino.
Where is the purple pachyderm? If he makes an appearance I'm fine with him paying.

I will saunter over tomorrow and see if the offending sign is still in place.

City attorney should know the city doesn't have a leg to stand on...

Bill Rhino? Mayor should pay you, in N95 masks.

I definitely see some of the trouble it could cause. I mean how many citizens are going to see that sign and attempt to call the police if they see someone with a firearm, tying up valuable resources. Seems that would be akin to frivolous 911 calls. Or altercations between visitors or visitors and staff who thought "You can see the rule right there on the sign."

Or, heaven forbid, someone see you and think your a bad guy. You could get garroted on accident !!

Those signs, IMHO, have to go!!

Karens abound in WLAF. Calls would be inevitable.

IMO, that would be a good thing. Either you would be forced to leave or even possibly arrested which would prove to be quite lucrative, or the Karens would get an education from the responding LEOs. A good outcome either way.

A meeting was had at Bru Burger. Over salad and chicken wings (don't judge me), discussion was had. A letter to Parks and Rec is being submitted.

My hope is that the offending paragraph is removed. Wait and see.
SALAD? Just kidding!! Thanks Kirk, hopefully they take the hint.

I'm going to have to try this place. Lots of recommendations.

Cunningham restaurant group, that created Bru, is a very successful company based in Indy. They have 15 different restaurant concepts and a ton of restaurants in multiple states. I believe Boulder Creek in Brownsburg was the first in 97. Last I knew they had 5 different restaurants on Mass Ave...

Boulder Creek is a good one and so is Charbonos. I like their bar setups too.

I know at the beginning of the pandemic, I kindly alleviated the West Lafayette Meijer sporting goods section of any and all 00 buckshot & 30/30 gathering dust.
Anything over in “La La Land” doesn’t surprise me anymore....
