Boebert and her friends want America to be a Christian Nation. But what does that mean? Is that based on her church's ideals? Would she want a Latino or Black church that focuses on liberation theology? Or A church with a bent toward what she sees as socialism? Those are ideals typically found in non-white churches like Warnock's.
Well. Boebert, as I said, is a dingbat. But you act as if she's dangerous. Like more dangerous than woke ideologues trying to squash free speech. A democrat in the House or Senate is a vote for further ruin. Not even Joe Manchin can withstand the urge to vote for nonsense.

Why would I care about which religion she wants America to be? If I had my druthers, I'd druther have no religious idiologues anywhere near a congressional vote or gavel. But, given the opposition to her, we have nothing to fear from her. So a dingbat who votes the right way on key issues is better than ANY democrat in congress today.

But way to recover on the racism.

I can both be very proud of my Country and fight hard to maintain it's dominance in geopolitics and the world economy while at the same time not claiming that Americans are inherently superior, or other cultures and religions are inferior. That's why the Germans dropped, "Uber Alles" from their national anthem. Germans are still quite proud of their country and culture, they just don't (openly) claim superiority.
What? WTF do you think we're talking about here? I don't listen to NPR so I don't have this nutty view that any talk of nationalism must necessarily lead to literally Hitler. There's nothing wrong with identifying with one's own nation, or supporting one's own national interest. That statement was literally formed from a definition of nationalism.

Nationalism is more than what NPR tells you it is. Nationalism isn't Hitler, though Hitler was a nationalist. Hitler breathed air too, and that fact doesn't make breathing air evil. You can take things too far but that doesn't make the moderation of the thing bad. But if you consume the news most available through the 6 corporations that own all of the news outlets in the West, you say "nationalism" and :runaway:

They have everyone so afraid of words that we're afraid to use them for their purpose. That's retarded!

There's nothing wrong with thinking your country is better than other countries, unless you have an irrational fear of non-deference. If I thought Canada was better than the US, I'd ****ing move there. But they're not better than the US. Not that we're all that great lately.

Christian Nationalists go a step further with the notion that God himself has placed America above all - something I've yet to square with the Bible. It's fair and good to say that God has blessed America, and you can say that God has blessed America for holding to biblical precepts, but it goes off the rails when you try and make a case that America is specially blessed and must hold to Christianity exclusively.
Who gives a rats ass? From a non-christian perspective, it's all nutty. But you're entitled to your beliefs. And the dingbat is entitled to hers.

White Christian Nationalism ... oof ... and I touched on this before, but it's clear that subset want ideals that are traditionally found in white churches and often run counter to ideals of non-white churches. Look, I'm a limited govt, free market, stop the handouts conservative, but it's no simple feat to prove that the Bible demands such a govt. At least I'm not going to tell someone else they're not a Christian if they believe such, but a White Christian Nationalist would.
How much can one possibly say about it? I don't care about any of that. I just want the head count of Republicans to be higher than Democrats. Because the Democrats like Marx a little too much for my taste. That's a higher priority than some nutty lady's ideas about divine America. If that's what she believes, she's fringe and not a danger. Meanwhile Marx is getting mainstreamed by nutty far left ideologues.

The problem lies that critical thinking is lost on many. People seem to lack the ability to differentiate the difference from a report out gathering news and a YouTuber stuck in his basement ranting on an article saw and making baseless inferences that don't get challenged.
Is the nutty ideologue YouTuber any worse than the nutty ideologue NPR reporter? :dunno:

And how are they getting that "news"? YouTube, Facebook, & Twitter all have algorithms to push content that you'll agree with and get you riled up. Seeking out alternative viewpoints is lost.

Six years ago the right was clamoring to get rid of "fake news". I'm guessing you didn't agree with that.
Corporate top-down news is dead if the US remains a free republic. There's no more need for NPR, CNN, any of those. Is that good? I don't know. It's not any worse than corporate news spoonfeeding what they want people to think. I think if people watch a variety of news they'll have a pretty broad outlook. But if America is to stay a free republic, I think something needs to be done about tech censorship. If you moderate your platforms for political content, you should not have section 230 protections.

Fake news is fake. All corporate news is fake.

It's like they're strung up on cables so you can make them fly. :):

Does the culture favor the left? Everything I see shows about a dead 50/50 split.
I think your reference point may need re-calibrating then. Yeah it favors the left. It has for many years. All the movie industry is mostly left wing. Art is left wing. Music is mostly left wing. Except maybe for country, tear-in-beer, ****-kicker. But even then half the stars are left wing. I mean, good gawd, haven't you seen the woke culture taking over pretty much everywhere? Even commercials are woke AF. Everything cultural has a left lean.

If it's 50/50 why does culture forbid me to say "retarded"? That's retarded. If it's 50/50 why do so many people put their pronouns in their bio's? I have to think you must not have left your house since 15 days to slow the spread. Where the **** have you been not to see it all around you?

That's a pretty silly binary. I thought Bug had some doozies.

I don't accept that a majority of people are left wing radicals. I think there's a leftward slant in the population but they're not all radicals.

I don't accept that the elections are physically rigged. Whatever the **** that is. I mean you talking Kraken? I would say that elections are rigged in that information is controlled in order to promote one set of candidates over the others. It's rigged in that democrats can make better use of mail-in ballot strategies because of where the democrats are, than republicans. It's rigged in that culture favors the left, and therefore Democrats. And so on.

What's the functional difference between being radical and voting to use force to enforce radical policy on everyone in the country? I'd say the latter is much more radical than simply having some crazy ideas.

If they don't want to be considered radical, maybe they should step away from the polling booth before this country tries to get a higher score than Mao.

I also consider things to be much more rigged than you do. Mail-in voting is a vector for attack, and zealous defense of it is telling.

The question was about the number of radicals. Like I said in the comment to JK about culture, the culture leans left. It's because art music/tv/movies/media/school leans left. It's their normal. I think there are more people left of center than right of center overall. That doesn't make them radicals. But they vote for radicals because their heads are filled with ****. It was my contention that if they had a sane candidate with a convincing message, backing policies between the rails, people would probably pick that over a radical on either side.

It's more radical to be a radical than to vote for someone who is radical. They see the commercials on corporate media, they think they're telling them the truth, you know, because they're the most trusted news source. They tell them Democracy is on the ballot. It's not radical to believe it that it's better to vote Democrat than to vote for literally Hitler.

What if we had canvassers who ballot harvest as hard as the blue purple-haired lady giving the handies?

I guess your logic is that it's more unlawful to wish someone dead than to shoot them.

As for canvassing for ballots.... Give me a break. That, in and of its self, is extremely biased towards the left. Or rather if you want me to be specific, dense urban areas.

It'd take such a ridiculous amount of man power, cars, gas, and time to attempt the same tactics with rural America that it might as well be impossible. And I applaud the efforts of someone brave (stupid?) enough to do such in dense urban metros for conservatives, but those people have left or are working on leaving anyway. They normally don't even bother to vote.

So every printed newspaper is fake, every journalism department is fake, every need website is fake, but the guy who simply takes content from those sources and then gives his ten minute diatribe and take in money from YouTube ads is real?

    seriously?

Also, this NPR schtick is getting old. You don't hear me calling out Fox, or the Blaze, or anything else; that kind of argument is retarded. (See, you can say it)

I mentioned Norbert because she, Greene, Cortez, and others are lightning rods, but influential in driving the discussions. But, yeah, they're dingbats.

Tombs post reminds me of a question I have, how many republicans volunteers don’t have a job or are hired just to canvas, compared to democrats Soros hired community organizers?
Scott Presler was on Tim Pool IRL last night. He was reportedly successful in ballot harvesting in CA. Helped in NY too. And even though Lee Zeldon lost, he did surprisingly well for such a democrat stronghold like NY.

But you make a good point that Republicans don't have the same situation to make it work like it does for Democrats.

Trump got almost 75 million votes in 2020. He lost by 7 million. In the swing the margins he lost by weren't insurmountable. We don't have to beat Democrats at vote harvesting. Just enough gained from harvesting to supplement traditional campaigning. The Democrats may have a 60/40 or even 80/40 advantage in urban areas. I think we leave those votes on the table when we don't even try to get votes in those areas.

Sure. I can be more precise if you want. Every newsroom motivated by politics prints fake news. Not every news article. But on stories that matter. As far as Youtubers, some of them put a hell of a lot more effort into their content than you give them credit for. Many are trained journalists who've gone independent. But you don't bother to put enough time into what you actually know about it to speak knowledgeably about it. So you play up the side you trust, and marginalize the side you don't.

If you have a legitimate argument, I'll listen to it. But at least show me that you've put some real thought into both sides of it.

    seriously?
    Well. Obviously.

Also, this NPR schtick is getting old. You don't hear me calling out Fox, or the Blaze, or anything else; that kind of argument is retarded. (See, you can say it)
Well. Fox, the Blaze, are retarded. Sometimes. But anyway. You listen to NPR don't you?

    1670626906179.png

First, we say "NPR" because it's the epitome of left wing news made to sound unbiased and you've quoted them enough that it just sticks. So locate your favorite news sources on that chart.

I mentioned Norbert because she, Greene, Cortez, and others are lightning rods, but influential in driving the discussions. But, yeah, they're dingbats.

(Posting at work, so I must be pithy)

I think no one takes them seriously except people who get their news from sources that disproportionately reports their influence. They're on the fringe. And that's kind of the same thing I think about all the right wingers you're afraid of. The media apparatus is tuned to making more of right wing-nutters than there is. The worst part about that is that they make them sound more prevalent than they actually are, while normalizing the left wing nutters. I'm not surprised you're worrying about them. You were told to worry about them. They have no real power. The dean of schools bragging about handing out dildos and butt plugs to 16 year old girls in class, THEY have real power. The hand that rocks the cradle... But you're worried about nutter far right Christians.

Seen where Steve Turley said it’s all because GOP doesn’t push the early voting. 800,000 early votes for D, 200,000 for the R in early voting you can’t come back from that. My 2 cents is early voting is open to the R just as well. To me it’s just simple in GA you got 52% D and 48% R so do the math. Only way the governor won was he is a Trump hater and that got enough D to stick with him. And like most states your cities are full blown democrats and that usually controls the outcome. Face the facts, stupid people population is on the rise everywhere.
Why do you say that the only way the Governor won was he is a Trump hater? The only statewide election the Rs lost was the Senate. They swept the rest. Heck for the last 18 yrs Repubs have had control of the Governor, state Senate, and House.
Walker came closer to winning than the last R candidates did. Trump was doing a better job picking people than anyone else in the corupt GOP. After being banned from you tube for well over a year, Doug Tennaple is back!!!! Ed in Exile now and he is rocking it like always!

For the last guy didn't Trump say for the voters to stay home for the runoff because the election was rigged anyway?

Technically they didn't stay home. The runoff was on 1/5. Apparently a travel day.

1 in 5 Americans live in rural areas. 80% of the US population lives in urban areas. It would be more productive for conservatives to stop looking at red election maps and acting like that means nearly all of America agrees with you. Alternatively, that brings up the point of ballot harvesting.

Realistically we’re not gonna stop mail in voting. We’re not gonna get purple states to make ballot harvesting illegal like FL did. Getting more rural Republicans to vote is unproductive. We need to harvest votes from suburbs and urban areas.

It’s okay though. Y’all traditional conservative Republicans won’t have to go door to door. It’s not in your nature to be activists. I can’t do it. We’ll have to recruit anti establishment zoomer activists to do it.

GA is slowly swinging back to the left. Thus a swing state. GA voted for Biden. Why would GA vote for Biden if they are overwhelming R…,unless they hated Trump….? So of course they hate Trump. And you should know that Governor hates Trump. Not sure why you’re unable to see this. GA hates Trump. Even the Republicans. At least enough of them. I don’t know…… probably more complex than I thought. I never liked GA, lived there 2 years won’t even go back to visit…lol

No, they are not “fake” they are very real, very real propaganda machines. They are just what the colleges and universities taught them to be. That is not journalism, it is activism.

But, in practice that is how it should be, there is no such thing as unbiased news and it is silly to pretend there is.

And that's not quite what "swing state" means. Do you forget the IN went for Obama '08? Did IN hate McCain at the time? And why can't you see that literally every other statewide election went to the R's including the Governor other than the Senate seat? I don't know if the Kemp hates Trump or not, but it's obvious that Trump hates Kemp.

So you are saying that Trump ****ed us out of a senate seat?

I think more people that did'nt vote for Walker is because they just didn't like him for whatever reason and not primarily because of Trump's endorsement.

It's not like they said we would've voted for Walker if it were not for the fact that Trump endorsed him so now, we're not gonna vote for him.

IMO the reason Walker lost was more about Walker than it was about Trump.
