I'm surprised this came to a run-off. With as many feet as Walker has inserted into his mouth, and with how utterly unintelligent he's sounded over the last several months - it's a rather telling indictment of the people who want him in office.

You're under the false impression nuance exists, and that people care about the issues, or hell, even vote for a policy they want. They don't.

You don't need to look any further than Trump to see the complete and total disconnect between policy and repeating what a TV anchor says. These people can not even point to a single policy decision that they disagreed with, the majority of the time. They're completely unsure why they hate Trump, outside of repeating what the TV told them to say. And conservatives, naively, don't seem to grasp this, instead they blame themselves and think it's their fault.

If you want turnout, throw the concept of "optics" in the toilet and run as far right as possible, no capitulation.

I am totally convinced that many people on this forum do not want change for the better. They would rather live with corruption & immorality as long as they can remain comfortable.

Not the point about going hard right. There are a lot of people skeptical of vaccines across the board from radical conservative to moderate left. Not beliving "safe and effective" isn't radical. Normal people have been trickling into the group of sane skeptics. You've made the mistake thinking that only far right conservatives think indipendently. It's the radicals on both sides that tend not to, plus the non political trendy liberals who are liberal because everyone else is doing it. But those people are conceivable. Banning abortion is far right. On the opposite end, allowing abortion up to the point of cutting the cord is far left. But I agree about normalizing some radically left ideas. The media is only a tool. It's the goal of wokesim to normalize far left ideas, while radicalizing even what was once moderate ideas just a few years ago. The trans issue has been the best example of this.

My 2 cents is early voting is open to the R just as well. To me it’s just simple in GA you got 52% D and 48% R so do the math. An analogy comes to mind. The makers of margarine, shortening, and the like pushed on the public with massive corporate money, propelled by junk studies they sought to supplant butter, cream, bacon grease, and the like. Boebert and her friends want America to be a Christian Nation. But what does that mean? Is that based on her church's ideals? Would she want a Latino or Black church that focuses on liberation theology? Or A church with a bent toward what she sees as socialism? Those are ideals typically found in non-white churches like Warnock's.

I can both be very proud of my Country and fight hard to maintain it's dominance in geopolitics and the world economy while at the same time not claiming that Americans are inherently superior, or other cultures and religions are inferior. That's why the Germans dropped, "Uber Alles" from their national anthem. Germans are still quite proud of their country and culture, they just don't (openly) claim superiority.

Christian Nationalists go a step further with the notion that God himself has placed America above all - something I've yet to square with the Bible. It's fair and good to say that God has blessed America, and you can say that God has blessed America for holding to biblical precepts, but it goes off the rails when you try and make a case that America is specially blessed and must hold to Christianity exclusively.

White Christian Nationalism ... oof ... and I touched on this before, but it's clear that subset want ideals that are traditionally found in white churches and often run counter to ideals of non-white churches. Look, I'm a limited govt, free market, stop the handouts conservative, but it's no simple feat to prove that the Bible demands such a govt. At least I'm not going to tell someone else they're not a Christian if they believe such, but a White Christian Nationalist would.

The problem lies that critical thinking is lost on many. People seem to lack the ability to differentiate the difference from a report out gathering news and a YouTuber stuck in his basement ranting on an article saw and making baseless inferences that don't get challenged.

And how are they getting that "news"? YouTube, Facebook, & Twitter all have algorithms to push content that you'll agree with and get you riled up. Seeking out alternative viewpoints is lost.
