The kit seems interesting, but you could practice on pigs feet or something similar from your local butcher and save your money.

I had a meeting with a dewalt cordless saw a few years back and lost the battle. 6 stitches & $500 later I have a nice scar (battle wound) I have been thinking about a suture kit since then. I have almost ordered this thing twice. I have also looked at zip like one(steri strip), you attach it on both sides of the wound and pull on the strips till they are tight. I would think that one would have issues depending on what you doing, but it might work.

Everclear is on the shelf, but it's for starting alcohol stoves and cleaning wounds. No way I'm drinking it.
