Toys for Tots time

It's that time of year again.
Time for me to ask you to please donate what you can to a very worthy cause.

If you are unfamiliar, Toys for Tots is an organization run by the US Marine Corps reserves.
They collect and distribute new toys to children who might otherwise not receive any gifts for Christmas.

I know this has been a trying year for most, but please consider donating what you can.

We just dropped off approximately 20-25 toys yesterday. I almost always get toys at Walgreens. They have good prices on name brand toys. I picked up a lot of Disney (Minnie/Mickey/Pooh) toys and a few Melissa and Doug. Also got some Nerf guns and some nice RC cars.

One thing I might add, I find what works for me is to start early in the year and pick up things as I find them on sale. Another thing you could do is pick up a toy sometimes when you pick up a prescription. I have a shelf in the garage where I store the toys, in their plastic store bags, until November.

If you have an Ollie's near, they are having a big toy sale and they have a Toys for Tots drop box.

I love Ollie's. It's similar to Big Lots but better IMO. Great deals on household stuff, linens, cleaning products. And their food/snack department is fun because there's always stuff there that you never see anywhere else. Last time I was there I found Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup flavored Cheese Puffs. Lots of odd random stuff at good prices. They also have cheap rugs and flooring.
