I'm just waiting for the development of the Callahan Full-Bore Auto-Lock.
Providing there's no new weapons ban once we leave "Earth that was" behind.

Come to think of it, how did an oppressive government like the Alliance NOT have weapons bans?

Any ar’s or rifles with 10+ magazines, IMO

I'm with you. Anything covered by an assault weapon ban will either appreciate from grandfathering...or be a non-transferrable sunk cost.

I really hope I'm wrong but I don't see politicos just magically giving up on an AWB barring a Supreme Court decision that's a hell of a lot more specific than they've been willing to adjudicate in the past. They've not had luck at the Federal level (yet) but states have been a different story.

Ive been brain storming this one for a while. I agree with a lot of what has been posted. I'd like to add one genre.

Revolvers, as a whole. Any quality revolver is going to get more expensive to produce. You've people aren't as interested in the "outdated" concept.
I feel the same with steel frame, quality hand guns. Fantastic plastic is here to stay.

Rifle-wise, i have no clue... wood and steel?

I agree with this, good example would be the Smith 386

Or a 327PD 4 inch , but then again I am of the mind the weird limited production scandium / titanium Smith's will go up in value
