I wear a mask when I have to. Usually it's more of a chin warmer. Most places around here only care that you have a mask on not that you wear it properly.

It's not that I'm rebelling I just don't like masks. Nor do I believe in the protection one supposedly offers verses the risk it poses.

Masks interfere with my natural breathing. They irritate my face. I do what I have to do to keep the peace. Otherwise my personal preference would be to go maskless.

I'll pull my mask up properly if someone around me is coughing but otherwise I'm really not that concerned.

I try to eat organic and minimally processed food as much as possible. I eat the food that God created not artificial crap created by greedy corporations.

I have a healthy immune system plus I also have some basic natural health knowledge.

When this whole thing started I bought some high-powered oregano oil that I take orally along with other natural kinds of things.

As a backup anytime I have been exposed to anyone questionable or start to feel a little wimpy I would put a magic oil concoction I came up with in my nostrils and sometimes in my ears before I go to bed.

I was the only one in my office who didn't get any kind of respiratory illness during 2020.

Three of my coworkers had pneumonia at different times as well as another one with the flu.

I think eating healthy and common sense will do a much better job of preventing covid than any mask ever will. Just my personal opinion.

So you're saying this conspiracy theory is at least ten years old, and still no proof of it?

Some thing never die no matter how sick they are, I guess.

Maybe so, but some form of proof of what someone said and proof it can't always be eliminated completely.

    Oh, I don't know.

Why is formal education now essential? People choose to ignore epidemiologist and discount their education in favor of "common sense", so why have the tables turned here? Just like with all conspiracy theories it's about selecting which facts to believe and, more so, which facts to discount.

And this isn't just being critical - it's ascribing laughably false and malevolent motives.
I don't think you got the point. There's a billionaire with a conflict of interest trying to influence policy in ways that would obviously benefit him personally, and he has no credentials in the area he's trying to influence.

I think it's fair to criticize that. He has no more right or expertise that justifies his influence on this particular industry any more than any other citizen.

As far as his malevolent motives, I'm content to leave that with the conspiracy theorists. We have plenty of justification for telling Gates to **** right off without the odd beliefs.

Bill gates: I think people should have to have RFID chips implanted to prove they got vaccinated.

    The world: **** OFF DOUCHEBAG!

    See? Not hard.

It is not really "social." Lets call it "people-distancing."
True. I am in constant social contact with several people via text and video chat. That's not social distancing. It's social togethering. Now, what they're trying to say is actually as you say, "people-distancing" or you might say "physical-distancing" like others have said.

Anyway, "social-distancing" sounds like a stupid term invented by Millennials.

Right, social distancing is when you turn down invitations to dinner at some doosh-nozzle's place or when that hot chick won't respond to any of your emails, texts, telegrams, letters or phone calls.

And she won’t even answer the knock on the door at 3AM!! :flasher:

Might give people the idea that she’s not interested.

I considered those a few years back. Heard great things about them, but I feared it would be like these stupid masks and give me a false sense of protection so I’d start doing things I normally wouldn’t because of it.

    Really great idea tho

Have you seen that country lane in Britain onboard video where the cage driver goes wide on a left dogleg and head-ons a motorcyclist? If you have, you'd remember - it's pretty horrifying.

Either that driver, or his buddy in trail, has a camera looking rearward also, and it takes the guy and bike a couple of seconds to fall back into frame. From what I read he was wearing an airbag jacket and it was thought to have saved his life, although he still had grievous injuries

Yes, I have seen these around for a while. I first saw them for motorcycle road racers, then motocross and skiing, particularly Downhill and Super G.

When they inflate they immobilize the shoulders so they save the wearer from separations and other hard to fix injuries. They start to slowly deflate immediately after inflating - I guess they are assuming the crash won't take a long time. :)
