I am looking at purchasing a threaded barrel. Can I use teflon tape to keep it from carbon locking? Or is that not going to work?

I use a little dab of graphite anti-seize on my threads. I don't personally see why a high-temp white lithium grease wouldn't be able to achieve the same thing - but I admit ignorance in regards to such things at a chemical level.

Beware, though. Even if you just use a swab applicator to put graphite anti-seize on your threads, and only on your threads, you'll learn that somehow that crap defies the laws of space/time and you'll have it all over your hands.
