If you watched the video, he tried just that. Luckily the kid put him down with a 5 gallon bucket between them and was able to use the bucket to corral it when it charged him.

Heard the most gosh awful snarling and hissing….it was a baby badger. Had no idea badgers where in Indiana as I stood there in amazement it occurred to me baby badger > angry mom badger.

One was killed on a road near where we lived in Elkhart County years ago, 25 , 30 miles south of MI line. Verified it was a badger. Previously I had never heard of one in IN.

Badgers and Bobcats both protected. They are both here (Ind.) but not in populations that allow taking. YET. Bobcats will get a season first. IMO.
