My girl's birthday is coming up and I want to take her to Indy. Well, it seems most of the forum is from there, so what is good to do? Looking for things that would be harder to do if you didn't know the area. Any best kept secrets? Good places to eat that stand out? Museums and the like? We usually go to the zoo but it is a bit cold for that.

Fastimes is fun if you think she would enjoy carting
    or dying.

this town is pretty lame if you are not a conformist sheep. Slippery Noodle downtown is pretty good and they serve food. lot of other pop-up bars with bands but can't really recommend any since most only operate for a few months before changing their mind what they are.

I'd recommend the Slippery Noodle Inn if you like good music. I haven't seen a bad band in there yet and I've seen some really good ones. The atmosphere is nice as well.

Thanks for the great responses. Seriously though, thank you for looking out for my saftey. However, this is not really conducive to what I am trying to accomplish. I just want some fun things to do in Indy. Because I do not live there, I don't know a whole lot to do there but go to a gun show. Thanks everybody!

I'm not much of a socialite myself. Last year I met my daughter at that Metropolis Mall in Plainfield. Looked like to me a young lady could find something interesting there.

How in the world did you get a shot of a Blue Morpho with its wings open?! I've tried and tried and TRIED to get that shot, and the best I could do is get one only peeking its beautiful turquoise wings open!

Put the camera on continous shooting mode, turn up the shutter speed to 1/1600 and wait for it to flutter! I put the camera in manual focus to the lens couldn't screw me when I needed to get the shot. Then sit and wait for it to move. 20 minutes later and I got it. The eel was hard because I had to get my aperture right and there was absolutely NO LIGHT!
