Found one last week after fishing. Had been wearing long sleeve shirt and long pants and home and took a shower and changed and found it (hadn't latched on yet) so just picked it off and killed it. Found one on the dog yesterday (she had just been to the groomer earlier this week), pulled it off and killed it. Seems they are out there in force.

What should I do other than :runaway:?
Obtain an 1/2" piece of 3/8ths plastic tubing. Place it over the tick. Pour an amount of Antibacterial dish soap into the tube that will cover the tick. Wait about 20 minutes. Use a Q-tip to spin the the tick COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. The tick will release with its head still attached and can be discarded.

    You're welcome.

Look for a red bullseye develop on skin, at bite location, a few days after you remove it? A lit match, burns a few seconds, extinguish and immediately place on tick? Rubbing alcohol? Maybe a tube of Tick-b-gon at your local drug store for $17? Amputation is always a option.
